This plug has a slightly smaller 2" inner diameter which means it will wobble a bit in a true 2" hole. The problem is that if pulling any cables on that side, it's pulling out of the hole or sitting at an awkward angle. As advertised. I've seen some reports that this requires a 2-1/4" hole but what I received gives clearly suggests a 2" hole saw, and I measured and used a 2" hole saw with no problems. The detail fits nicely into a 2" hole. Perfect as a very inexpensive desktop grommet for my computer and data cables. A good 1/4" hole.
