Haven't had to use them on the road yet. Changed tires at home and they are without a doubt 100 times better than junk plastic. I saw a comment that someone was concerned about their weight. Well, I'll lose the extra 6 ounces to carry in my bike bag.

These levers are amazing! I broke quite a few nylon tire levers from the force being lifted off the tire, but they withstood the force and didn't seem to flex at all. All edges are also rounded so you don't have to worry about the inner tube popping out. They're also nice and smooth in your hands, unlike some plastic levers that can scratch. These are the best. I will never buy plastic levers again!

Wow! How important are these levers! I ride and work on bicycles as a hobby. I have several combinations of tires and rims that fit HERE. So much so that I broke several plastic levers. I tried that and the tires went with minimal effort. The levers are also thin enough to fit under the bead, an issue I had with the thicker plastic levers. The finish of my levers was perfect and smooth to avoid scratching the rim. Indispensable even for an inexperienced housewife!

They do the job but could be a bit smoother to avoid damaging the rim. My main issue is that they are listed as stainless steel and they are not. It's copper and chrome steel. One rim I've used it on already has the chrome cracked/broken and will now rust if I'm not extra careful. If it were real stainless steel I could grind away all the dents and destroy the anti-corrosion coating. Steel is fine if I knew I could get my money's worth, but don't lie to us.

I used them straight away and found it would take some time to get used to because they are so thin and metallic. It says nothing about their quality. I see they will last a very long time. They hurt my hands like hell, unlike the thick plastic hands. Also, I can see them ripping the tube or tire if you have really strong hands and/or cheap tubes/tires or maybe rims. After all, it's metal on metal. So maybe it's me, but no matter how beautiful, strong and small they are, you have to be careful…

Having switched to an Ultegra wheel with a Vredestein Fortezza tire I'm having trouble getting the nylon lever tire off. It's very tight and I need something with a thinner tip. Before I got them I used a small sharp edged screwdriver as the thick tipped nylon screws can't get under the rim of the tire. I was looking for a stainless steel lever with thinner tips.
