Quality socket as expected

Some brand names are trustworthy. This Craftsman socket worked well with no defects. The measurement was accurate. The socket stood well without slipping.

Pros
  • Trial period for one year
Cons
  • Doubtful

Same quality great price

I had a Craftsman set over 10 years ago and lost 23mm. I bought it as a replacement and apart from the markings on the side basically the same. I also found the cheapest replacement option.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Expensive

Wrong size sockets and socket sets

Really cheap but good quality. The only problem is that "15mm" is 16mm. Not bad for a cheap disposable socket. Use it for oil drain plugs, I do about 8 plugs a day and the 7/8 plugs are 15mm in diameter and this socket slips right off.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

How to open the package

Take a small flat screwdriver and drive it into the space between the plastic bracket and the socket. Be careful as he may not be able to enter easily. Then use the screwdriver to pry off the plastic. Now you can save curses for your relatives. The head itself is fine, I used it for the 12 point flywheel bolts.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Protection

Perfect for removing lock nuts

I had a machine with McGard lock nuts and no wrench. I chose an outlet that barely fit in the nut and hammered it in about half an inch. The grooves in the bushing deformed a bit, but they cut into the nut and I was able to loosen them easily with an impact wrench. Knocked out the mounting nut and did it three more times.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • No power

Tough little asshole

Bought hoping it would fit (tightly) the old rusty locknuts on a newly bought car. It was too small to tighten but I pushed it in and in doing so the lug bolts loosened enough to tighten the vise and unscrew - first I overtightened the other lug nuts in hopes of relieving the pressure on the locknut . - helped or not I don't know, but came across.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Few little things

Packing is NOT that complicated!

Good quality and does the job. For anyone having trouble removing the packaging, you do NOT need any tools, blowtorch, etc. LOL. Just grab the plastic tight and rock it back and forth a few times...well, maybe a couple dozen times. He will jump out. I managed it with no problems (for two different sized sockets) and I'm admittedly not the strongest guy in the world. If you use gloves or a rubber grip to hold the jack tighter, it will pop out after a few seconds. I can't believe people drilled…

Pros
  • Weight
