The bird likes: Toys

African gray is very beautiful, but the holes are very small. Not suitable for Nutriberry or larger nuts/pellets/treats. I use mini sized rooibos pellets, but I can also use sunflower or thistle seeds or similar sized treats.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Shape is optional

My birds are busy

I got this for my male Eclectus who had hormones and barking feathers. I filled this toy with his favorite treats and he spent 2 hours non-stop trying to get them, great for keeping them busy and distracted!

I would recommend - Birds

I bought this for my rats but wasn't sure as I've only seen bird reviews (it does as it's meant for birds). I decided to buy anyway because I've bought similar stuff in the past. The first day or so they didn't touch it, they just took the treats from below that I shook out for them, but when Elk, my oldest, found out (I'm pretty sure it's been a fluke since he's not the smartest), it didn't take the others long to guess it either. I've been wearing it for a little over two weeks and it's still

Remove the top slider, the parrot layer

This collector isn't the best design BUT you can change it by taking it apart (you'll need a set of screwdrivers for the tiny screws) and the top remove level and slider. This works well with parrot seeds and is not too harsh on parrots. When reassembling, make sure the middle and bottom tiers and sliders are properly aligned to allow the seeds to flow when the sliders move. I also set everything up so that the bottom layer/slider is at a 90 degree angle from the middle bottom/bottom slider…

Too simple, expensive, but the bird loves it

This chopper looks cool, but the blue blades glide so easily and easily skip the food that the bird doesn't have to do much. looks like an expensive "food bowl". I've made it richer by adding larger nuts or shredded paper as treat obstacles. However, my bird is so excited about this forage harvester. It doesn't work for me for my purpose of increasing the time it takes to eat her pellets, but it's a wonderful asset because while she eats them quickly, she clearly enjoys pulling the blades and…

Although I don't like doing it

My medium sized bird loves this food toy. When he arrived I had to show him how to work with tabs. After two lessons he had it. He often bangs the toy against the edge of the cage to make the nuts fall through the holes instead of pulling/pushing on the tabs. Only small pieces of nuts can get into the holes, which is a disadvantage as it takes time to break. Nuts. Sometimes you have to break the purchased pre-punched nuts to fit through the holes. Although I don't like doing this, my bird gets…

Well done, but it's too easy to fool.!

As expected, my kennel has long overcome the usual fear of foreign bodies. She poked her head into the lower chamber a few times, emptied it, and gave up. She made progress, learned to pull the boards to make more (nutritious berry crumbs) fall down. I don't think she really learned to pull the boards one way or the other. She just shakes it, shakes everything! The return window was long closed so I could take it apart, try to make it difficult for her to empty. Maybe thicken the boards so they

Pros
  • Doping 🔥
Cons
  • Communication with the seller

My Indian ringnecks are quite intrigued by this toy, although they haven't quite figured it out yet. It's also difficult to get the right size for holes. I started with a few pieces of dried fruit, but I had to cut the pieces fairly small (3-4mm cubes) to make sure they went through. I've found that coconut works best because the other fruit gets too sticky and sticks together and doesn't fall through. Sunflower seeds might work, but they also tend to get stuck at weird angles and you have to…
