Excellent quality material, fits very well

Installation won't be easy, but it's good to know you're installing a quality product. I used a jack to put it in place. As others have said, use 3 or 4 drill bits to get the required 1/2" hole. The bolts are class 8 1/2 inch carriage bolts. I would prefer fine threads or lock nuts. I will put a lock nut on each to ensure long term security.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!

Very satisfied: Couplers

Thing fits my 1995 Ford Bronco xlt like a glove. Used a jack to raise it up and hold it in place while I drilled holes and screwed it on. Installing some of the bolts was tricky, but that was because the gas tank was right next to the frame. I had to tap it with a rubber mallet to get it where it needed to be because the fit was very snug, but that wasn't a problem, it actually fitted perfectly after a few taps with the hammer.

  • Very good price

Get sharp drills!

This is for my 92 f-250. He came in good shape. Many holes were drilled. I recommend buying fresh drill bits! I'm sorry, I don't remember what size he was. It's odd that they didn't come up with a hitch that simply matched the existing holes. If I remember correctly I had one on each side and had to drill out two on each side. The square holders were also too big. Not well thought out, but I did it.

  • Great for me

Quick and easy installation. Heavy-duty part

The thing is heavy. It installed in about 15 minutes (not counting the time spent gathering tools, cleaning and re-cleaning tools). I'm 5/8 and 170 pounds and not a big guy, but it still wasn't a big deal to install. It is not necessary to remove the rear spare tire (on a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 ST pickup). Simple, clear instructions and heavy duty bolts, nuts and washers. I look forward to using it.

Fits perfectly, received quickly, great price!

So this trailer receiver came in a huge box, the box was destroyed but the box protected the receiver from scratches. All the equipment was there. Regarding the installation of the receiver, it took a long time because I broke 3 new drills. I had to drill new holes next to the old ones. Make sure you have a ground jack and some clamps and make sure the receiver is holding them straight. Overall, I am satisfied with this product and can recommend it!

Why would you drill

I bought a truck to haul my 10,000 lb trailer. The truck had a DrawTight hitch (rated for 6,000 pounds only, so Class 3, not 4). Why anyone would put a class 3 on a 1 ton truck is beyond me, but I bought this thinking the holes "should" line up anyway. . NO CURT has their own idea of how things should be attached, so they requested that I drill new holes or enlarge a few existing holes. Why Kurt, why? Well the hitch is good and we're going to build. Works very well but note that you will need…

Perfect fit 1991 Ford F-150

Very sturdy and well made, fits my 1991 F150 with no problems. This hitch is more expensive than what I can tow a truck so I don't have to worry about it later. Installation took several hours as I had cleaned the frame of rust and drilled with old drill bits. I should have gone and bought some cobalt drill bits as my old Ford didn't have pre-drilled holes which required drilling all six. The box was in poor condition but the item was fine just a few scratches on the paintwork but all fasteners

Exceptionally well made, fits 1996 Ford F150

Sturdy, perfectly finished and fits like a glove. Okay, this worked great on a 1996 Ford F150. You'll need to drill all the holes, but with the right drill bit it only takes a few minutes. The washers that fit on top of the guide frame need to be cut so that they are perfectly flat. You must do this so the screws will fit properly. Trim and 1/8" to 3/16" from the long side of the washer. The bolts go past the gas tank and fully into the washers. Requires 3 screws on each side. It is not…

Easy installation on Doji. I think 1969-2015

1999 Dodge Ram 1500. Installation was a breeze. They recommend two people, me too if you're like me and work to the point of failure every day. I did it myself which was doable. Took me about 20 minutes. The hardest part was getting it off the ground over my head. My shoulders didn't want that. Bypassing the spare tire was also difficult. It would have been faster if I had removed the spare tire and put it out of the way. In addition, it is easy to install on second generation RAM. I have 99…
