Description of 🔩 CURT 45982 Rebellion XD Adjustable Cushion Hitch: Dual Ball, 2-Inch Receiver, 2, 2-5/16-In Balls, 15,000 lbs Capacity, 6-in Drop

INCREASED COMFORT. This cushion hitch ball mount is engineered with ShockDrop technology, featuring a cushioned isolator that helps deter jerking, jarring, bumps, vibrations, rattling and noise for a more comfortable ride while towing. IMPROVED CONTROL. The dynamic, adaptive isolator of this cushion ball mount helps improve driver control by reducing the tendency for trailer sway and managing sudden braking. It does this without any need for an anti-rattle hitch or anti-rattle shim. VIRTUALLY NO MAINTENANCE. Unlike other torsion hitch and cushion hitch ball mounts, the Rebellion XD does not have an airbag or bearings. This makes the unit very easy to use, lightweight and virtually maintenance-free. HIGH-STRENGTH. For dependable towing strength, the Rebellion XD shock-absorbing hitch is constructed from cast steel . The 2-inch ball is rated for 10,000 pounds, and the 2-5/16-inch for 15,000 (limited to lowest-rated towing component). EASILY ADJUSTABLE. This cushion hitch ball mount is equipped with a 2-inch shank to fit a standard 2-inch hitch receiver. The dual ball can be adjusted up or down for level towing (6-inch max drop, no rise).

This babe is amazing!

Just pulled a few thousand miles with a 24 foot trailer full of bikes. This hitch is everything they claim it is. You can notice the difference in the first 10 feet with smooth stem and ease of movement over bumps. A little (well, a lot!) expensive, but after the first tow you forget the cost and just enjoy the performance. It is so good. highly recommended.

Very expensive but a noticeable difference in your driving.

I doubted it would make much difference to my trailer ride. With my stick ball and clutch it's not that bad. However, after lifting a heavy burden with it, I was convinced. It didn't completely eliminate the twitching, but it did reduce it significantly. Try it and I think you will agree?

Not for Unraised 1/2 Ton Pickup Trucks

If you have a 1/2 ton Ford F-150 pickup that is available and cannot be raised, do not buy it. With a loaded trailer you will most likely be dragging the bottom of the hitch down the road when hitting bumps etc. However, this is a monster clutch. An out of the box solution that I would like to use. Now it's time to buy some 2, 3, 4 inch hitches. 6 is just too much and will stretch.

Just buy it now!

This clutch really takes the "violence" out of towing. I regularly tow cars and trucks on rough Midwestern roads and am very impressed with this hitch. I used the Shocker air clutch, which also worked well, but found this clutch to be more comfortable to use. It's built to last and doesn't require air pressure adjustment like the Shocker. (With the shocker I had to change the pressure from morning to afternoon when towing due to temperature rise/fall)

  • No Performance

Base suitable for hauling groceries and winches

It's heavy and well built and I give it two stars for that - I installed it on a F-250 with no lift and regular suspension and it stayed on the ground - that is, since this unit has so many height adjustments that it's too long and stays too low, and if you hit a dip while driving, it breaks at the bottom - even if your trailer sits high, the adjustment stem is too long - i liked the device but had to return it - I also read that other users had the same problem - hooray!

Reduces hitch hitting in the hitch accessory

Firstly the only reason it's not 5 stars is because they are supposed to get a 6 in the drop and they don't offer 4 in the drop options . As an FX4 F-150 owner, I don't need a small drop, but I really appreciate the buffer it provides between the trailer and my truck to reduce hitch bounce (bounce) when accelerating with a heavy load in my dump trailer. This doesn't eliminate the action, but it does reduce the harshness felt when it occurs. The components are solid and I'm not worried about the

Less road fatigue: towing products and winches

Yes, expensive. No, don't forget that you have a trailer behind you. As a contractor and farmer driving nearly 50,000 miles a year, I decided to give it a try. After a week of use I'd say it really improves the driving experience when towing; less "bump" from trailers when hitting a bump, less back-and-forth when driving on the interstate, and no feel of push and pull at high speed on the interstate. So even if the ride quality improves by only 30-40%, it seems like it costs money over the life

  • Lots of positive emotions

  • I don't remember

Will not work on a 2017 Honda Ridgeline

Tried on a black 2017 Honda Ridgeline (5000lb capacity without parts) with a 3500lb trailer. It's only 4-6 inches off the ground and will pull through big dips. In addition, the trailer seemed very relaxed - maybe also because of the damper. I replaced it with a stock 2" clutch and it's noticeably better. I couldn't go more than a few miles with the Curt clutch, and my knuckles turned white. I replaced it and found I could get to 70mph with no problem and have driven it over 100 miles with a…

CURT 45949 Rebellion XD Adjustable Suspension Hitch 2 " Receiver

I purchased this CURT 45949 Rebellion XD Receiver Adjustable Suspension Hitch 2" Ball Mount to replace my fixed hitch. This hitch gives me the ability to customize the hitch ball for different trailers. My biggest issue is that the hitch ball mount that came with it had holes drilled at an angle. This problem causes the pin to be inserted at an angle, making it difficult to install or remove the hitch ball mount and makes adjustment difficult. I purchased a replacement CURT 45952 Rebellion XD…
