Ease of installation. Equestrian

Easy to install. It sticks directly to the brake lights. Minimal splicing. The hardest part was figuring out where to pull the extra wires.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Not for everyone

A good product! - Other Sports

Installed on my 2011 Jeep Patriot. Installation was pretty easy and took about an hour and a half. Works great and works just as well as the factory kit but at about a quarter the price.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Slightly dented

EZ setup is good for trailers

Product works and fits my 2006 Ford Freestyle as advertised. The connections were correct and fitted perfectly. Installation took about 30 minutes but I didn't go back to the battery as I was replacing an existing T-connector that stopped working after 3 years.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Has cons

Works as advertised

This trailer wiring harness works but is anything but plug and go. Without life it would be almost impossible to run a battery cable on these racks. but it works and at a much better price than the Chrysler dealer, they asked over $200 for it.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Not automatic

Works well with 2009 Jeep Patriot

Installed on my 2009 Jeep Patriot. Installation took about 2 hours. 1.5 hours to route the cable from the battery to the back of the car and make sure it is routed and properly fastened. 1/2 hour to install the wiring harness on the headlights and track. Worked great.

Pros
  • Rugged Construction
Cons
  • Operating Speed

Easy Installation: Equestrian

This product is very easy to install. It took me longer to get the wire through the bottom of the car to the battery than the rest of the wiring. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because the trailer's LED taillights glow slightly when plugged in. Even when the car is switched off.

Pros
  • Ideal for me
Cons
  • No Instructions

Some pain during installation. More importantly, it didn't last long

Bought for Chrysler Town & Country about a year ago. Pain is the wiring to the battery that others have described. The wires are also a bit short to run from the bottom to both taillights. It actually went to the top of the bumper to get there. The block is now broken. Short circuit in the black box, the lights are on all the time. Contact Kurt for a replacement. Lets you know if they endorse their product.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging

Back Pain - Other Sports

Unfortunately this wiring harness for my Chrysler Town & Country does not install as easily as the Jeep wiring harness that fits in the left tail light. That's all. plug and play This is installed in both rear lights and the cable runs from the converter to the battery. This connection drained my battery, which I was able to skip. But then it didn't work properly so I took it to the dealer ($152 first visit, $232 second visit). Do yourself a favor and find a company to install them and ask them

Pros
  • Easy to read dashboard
Cons
  • New competitors appeared
