This is a very very good and bright light. I have an older model from the same manufacturer that uses AAA. This is a significant design improvement in almost every way. Even the grommet/grommet has a notch that will hold it in place when removed from the handlebars. The set screw is cone shaped with a matching receiver meaning adjustment on the fly is very easy. If you drive through the city and then hit unlit streets, you will quickly realize that the ability to direct the light is very…

Everything you need in one lamp

My favorite headlamp, I don't understand why there are other brands β€’ This lamp is due to the beam pattern. Illuminates the entire trail so you can see animals trying to cross at night β€’ 350 lumen setting (average on 500-600 lumen models) is all I use for 20+ miles of completely unlit trails drive per hour β€’ Battery typically lasts 2 hrs - 3 years before replacement β€’ Has a 18650 battery inside which can be replaced if you know how to solder. Upgrade the standard 2200mAh battery to a 3400mAh…

Reliable workhorse with all the features you need

I bought a Cygolite Metro a few years ago and since then I've been buying more and more for our family - around 20 lights for 10 bikes - because it's easier to move around to have everything you need. the same mounts, and. They work. After using it for a long time, I can say that in my opinion there is no better or more reliable option. I like that the radiation pattern is wide for better side-to-side visibility (drivers exiting back roads, etc.). Brackets are strong on the steering wheel of…

very bright, cost disputed

Ultimately, I think the question is whether $50 is a good thing a bike light costs . Most cheap flashlights are not very bright, especially during the day. The brightness below 250 lumens annoys me because I ride my bike almost every day, often at night in winter. For what I use so often, I should pay more for something that is not only brighter but also offers better beam quality and visibility. For 700 lumens I couldn't find a better deal, 450-500 lumens weren't much cheaper and 950-1000+…

Outstanding light. suitable for sports

I bought this unit based on a Wirecutter review and was very happy with it. I've already had their previous recommendation of the Light & Motion Urban 500, a great light that has worked well for me over the past year when I've been occasionally driving after dark. However, in 2020 I increased the distance I rode and when Daylight Saving Time ended I began to worry about being 10 miles from home in the dark because I forgot to charge my only flashlight. You know how they say that 2 equals 1 and…
