The light is very bright and gives a good view of the front of the bike during the day. The light senses ambient light to adjust how it works - during the day it just flickers from off to on, but at dusk it stays on constantly and flickers with greater intensity.

Can't imagine better. Our riding group uses Cygolite Flasher. They flash very brightly day and night and last up to 13 hours of driving. We love long distance travel and I don't think you can do better than Cygolite. Especially for the price range. Great headlight!

I'm pretty tight on the handlebars so I got these. This is sufficient for daytime visibility. I use the flash at high power so I don't get many hours of use before it needs to be charged. I worry about how many times I have to take it off to charge that the stretchy rubber band on it will eventually start to fail.

This is an extra bright light in steady or flashing mode. I have 2 of these and have used them on over 20 2 hour rides with no problems. They are easy to assemble and disassemble; bright; easy to charge; take up very little space on the steering wheel; clearly visible even in bright daylight; long battery life of at least 6 hours or more in flash mode. If you want to be noticed by oncoming cars, this is a good choice.

I bought this to use for daytime visibility. During operation, the brightness appears to be normal during the day. The problem is that it rarely works. It seems to lose charge very quickly. I thought I forgot to charge it or didn't charge it enough, but that doesn't seem to be the case - it usually stops working within an hour, regardless of the settings. I bought this headlight to improve forward visibility when driving during the day. The color convinced me. This thing is small and unobtrusive, bright enough to be seen in daylight, and the battery lasts for 8+ hours of driving. It's so bright that on a cloudy day or just before sunrise/sunset I can see the light reflecting off all the street signs in front of me. I use this headlight on my road bike as a daytime flash for better visibility. It is excellent for this purpose. Size and installation: very small. I like that it's down and away from the front of the handlebars. The small size makes it very easy to mount on poles.
