Good size and sharpness

Ideal for cleaning vegetables and fruit. .Lightweight with good sharp blade. I like the wooden handle as it looks nice and is easy to hold and hold during use.

Quality knife suitable for kitchen and dining room

Seems to be a quality knife and it comes out pretty sharp. I've never used a blade this curved before, but I can see it will have a definite use. Cleaning fruit and vegetables is probably its main function. The handle fits the hand very well and feels solid.

Nice knife, but I have my suspicions.

I am a fan of Damascus. When I saw this little paring knife in Damascus I thought why not, it's very cute. When I opened the knife, I immediately had doubts. You can usually trace the layers from side to side; the "Damascus" lines look more decorative than a true folded metal blade. I would like to do an acid meter test and be sure.

Too expensive for what it is

The wooden handles in my example are smaller than the tang so the tang sticks out all the way around the handle creating a rough edge that digs into my fingers. It's not blunt, but it's not razor sharp either, as other reviewers have pointed out. It's a beautiful knife and ALL the other reviewers rave about it, so maybe I just accidentally got a knife that failed quality control at the factory. But I feel this knife is grossly overrated for what it is. The Birds Beak Mac Knife (made in Japan)…

A beautiful knife. on paring knife

This curved paring knife is probably the most beautiful knife I own. Forged fit. A full shank blade/Paca wood handle is ideal. The knife is larger than a typical bird's beak paring knife and the ark is larger so the blade doesn't bend as much. I've used it for peeling potatoes, and it's not as good for digging out eyes as short, sharp-curved knives, but it's better for general peeling. It could, for the most part, replace a regular straight paring knife. He's so pretty I'll find out where he…

Worth every penny! for paring knives

I have arthritis in my hands and most of my old and favorite knives, including one with a bird's beak blade, are too narrow, short and difficult to understand. When I saw this knife I was sure that with less effort I would hold the contour handle more easily and so it turned out. feels "right” in my hand. The blade is extremely sharp and will slice through a bowl of apples and pears and then some potatoes. The bolster (my old knife didn't have one) keeps my hand from slipping near the blade and

Excellent Curved Blade Paring Knife

Product Overview: 3 inch curved blade Damascus steel paring knife with Pakkawood handle, sharp fruit knife, perfect for peeling, slicing and trimming This is a terribly sharp, curved paring knife knife, with full-shank blade, hygienic metal bead, Paccawood triple rivets and allegedly made of Damascus steel, although I have serious doubts (see photo). However, it is a nice knife with good balance and weight, it has some weight but certainly isn't heavy or bulky and the handle feels secure in the

Nice paring knife.

I'll start by saying I expected a good knife for $30, but not necessarily because all the statements are true. Now purists will be quick to point out that genuine Damascus steel is local and enumerate the art of making bent steel, but let's not let that formality hold us back. Damascus is often used to describe a pattern. It may be laser engraved (fake), but in recent years folded steel has become much more industrial and affordable. This blade appears to be made of bent steel, which is…
