Amazing results and safety!

Every Saturday I spend 20 minutes at the farmer's market and then about two hours on my feet chopping veggies for what I end up cooking. This device is a game changer! Not only are the results impressive at the restaurant level, but they deliver on the promise that anyone can SAFELY use it. And for someone who has "a little grace" and is therefore afraid of ordinary mandolins, this was the most important characteristic. So even we, Elaine, can use it with confidence ;)

Pros
  • Hands-free work
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

doesn't work best in mandolins and planes

I was actually pretty excited to get this item. I love making salads with every meal, plus I'm always scared of chopping veggies and this seemed like the perfect solution. I was very disappointed to say the least. I tried slicing tomatoes for a salad and they came out soft and raw and the tray didn't even collect the juice leaving me with a puddle of tomato juice all over the kitchen counter. When I tried to clean it to put it back in the box to return it, it took the longest because there was…

Great slicer! on mandolins

Slicing potatoes for french fries just got a lot easier! I can wash the potatoes, cut them in half, and then just pop each half into a mandolin and voila, I've got fries. (Then toss them in olive oil and sea salt and pop them in the Dash fryer for the perfect batch of fries!) Mandolins also make a great sliced salad. Just add all the ingredients and everything will be ground to perfection. (Ros lettuce, spinach, kale, carrots, kale, cucumber, onion, etc.) I used to injure my hands and wrists…

Advantages and disadvantages. in kitchen and dining room

This product is intended for people with developmental disabilities to help with meal preparation. Although the security features are exactly as described, the preliminary work before using the shredder is so extensive that it defeats the purpose of the product. A limited amount of vegetables can fit in the chute, the rest must be cut. At the same time, the design is very effective. It contains clear instructions and pictures on how to use this product. There are even some recipes on the back…

Absolutely wonderful for my weak hands

I bought this because I have trouble slicing raw sweet potatoes. It makes it so easy that I've been looking for excuses to shorten it. I literally can't accidentally cut myself unless I put my finger in it on purpose. Maybe I just don't know what vulnerabilities are because I haven't happened to see them before, but for now it seems like the safest option I've had hands disabled with arthritis and fibromyalgia for years. It folds nice and flat and doesn't take up much space in the drawer I put…

  • This is a miracle

  • There are other interesting options.

You will get plastic in your food.

Yes I think that is the most important thing in this review. It doesn't matter for softer foods, but you don't just get a mandolin for soft foods, you get things that require effort. While slicing the olives went well, my seitan had plastic in it the entire time - those are the little white bits in these photos. That's no coincidence either. I was hoping as I really like this thing but I replaced the first one and found the same issue with the second one. Multiple uses for both and the more I…

Uneven cuts, difficult to clean, returned same day

Wrote a more detailed and thorough review but I got "lost" so here is the summary. 1. Rough/uneven cut. all veggies go crooked. Cutting Bc shoots are inclined, and the blade is lowered at an angle of 90 °. Uneven cuts because the pieces don't come out at the top and sometimes go back into the chamber where they're cut again in a weird way. The solution is to reach out and take out each piece that falls on each chop, but this is time consuming and defeats the purpose of not having your hand near
