Description of DC Cargo Mall Tie Down Mounting

THESE BOLT-ON D-RINGS are made of exceptionally heavy duty solid steel, 1/2" diameter thick. They are strong and durable, and can handle a load up to 4000 pounds. That means that these 10 rings can bear up to 40,000 pounds together! See the description for a clear guide on how to figure out your tie-down limits when loading cargo on trucks and trailers, especially if you're up for DOT inspection. SEE THE 7th PICTURE for a clear visual image of all the dimensions to make sure that this is the tie-down you need. Please realize that these rings do come with 3" x 1 3/4" bolt-on mounting brackets but NOT installation bolts. Use 3/8" carriage bolts to secure. BOLTED D-RINGS are the most handy and flexible tie-downs available. Generally used as tie-down anchors on trucks, pickups, campers, vans, docks, boats, flatbeds, and trailers, they’re also handy as wall hooks in organized garages, warehouses, and workshops. These D-Rings are Zinc plated for superior corrosion- and rust- resistance - 'Color may vary'. 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" inner clearance. Once these D-rings are mounted, you can USE THEM AS TIE-DOWN ANCHORS for motorcycle straps, bungee cords, tarp straps, small chains, ratchet and cam straps, ropes, and other tie-downs. Heavy Duty Mounting Rings

Really great! I attached them to my barn wall to hang all my heavy wood chains to keep them separate and untangled for quick access. They are very durable and lie flat against the wall when not in use. Good product. When choosing mounting screws or bolts, consider only the weight they will support. I first installed them on a 3/4" piece of plywood and then attached the plywood to the wall's wood studs.

Works well for UNI strut metal supports. Correct mounting holes and reasonable size. (Heavy Duty)

I am building a Unistrut lift using these rings, cables and electric winches from a (different) supplier. They fit directly into the holes in the Unistrut and provide an easy snap-in to raise the platform. With 6 of them (3 on each end) I'm pretty confident that this platform will lift whatever I want and the "NOT" will fail and fall on my car below. I wasn't sure if they would do the job but seeing them in person was all I could tell. They are super strong. I expect them to support a full…

Add Baseplate

For those who bought them for a wooden deck trailer, please use the bottom plate when installing. Don't rely on the thickness of the wood alone when tying down 1,000 pounds of weight to get you from point A to point B. It requires trouble and is irresponsible. If you can't find or make a baseplate, use large, thick wing washers. I used a 3/16" thick 3" x 3" stainless steel plate I had on hand as a base plate.
