Strong, reliable straps

Purchased to attach the front of a pontoon boat to a trailer. This is the perfect length to get around the trailer frame and back to the boat. You don't have to have a lot of belts to deal with a lot of ties. We transport our pontoon long distances and wanted something we could feel safe with. This product meets our standard.

Simple mode - very thin. Returning for something useful

Will be returning. They are just as wide and long as my old ones, but at most twice as thin. I don't trust them in any way to hold a big boat. I'm not sure why they bothered to make something so relatively weak. My old worn belts have much thicker webbing and even as they wear out they are probably stronger. I would avoid them for anything larger than say a 16ft boat.

They have a VERY soft strap material. Difficult to keep cam straight when engaged

They have a very soft webbing material which makes it difficult to keep the cam straight when engaged and the cam support is also very difficult to hold and too small . I put them on backwards (so the metal part is under the boat) because I was uncomfortable that they didn't cut into the hull of the boat. I'll throw it away and buy a different kind.

Easy work, NOT for saline environment.

The straps are very light and the hook at one end is galvanized, which doesn't last 3 months in salt water. I bought these to replace 5 year old super heavy duty straps with zinc plated hooks that are now starting to rust. The straps are good quality so I like to keep them to myself and use them for other purposes besides a 26ft aluminum boat tie down. no way. The thin straps are also very long, which can be ok in some cases, but they need to be cut and soldered at the ends to be used as a boat
