🔧 Front Right Engine Torque Strut Mount for DEA A4236 Review

This item arrived on time and my husband installed it on our 1994 Lexus ES 330. It took him about 15 minutes to remove and replace the old one. with this. He's happy and I'm happy for him.

Our Lexus dealer charged my wife nearly $300 to replace the "upper engine mount" which is essentially a vibration damper. I inspected this unit and it matched the factory part perfectly which showed signs of cracking in the rubber donut. I replaced it in about 15 minutes using just a wrench (no jack needed).

I drove my Lexus es330. The mechanic wanted to charge me $133 for the installation. Mine fell apart but with only 2 screws to remove and put back I decided to check the real cost. Well I bought one and put it on in just a few minutes and saved a lot! If the current one is broken I can always buy another one and possibly more at the price the mechanic was asking for one.

This is an excellent "replacement" for the "original" gear EXCEPT: - This is the second one Equipment I had to install. - It didn't last as long as the original BUT, - It's the easiest car part I've ever replaced. - Five minutes and you're done! - (So reduced price compared to OEM parts at LEXUS! - Just don't be mad when it's time to replace it in a few years. - Very cheap and easy!

Not exactly the same size as the original. The width at the front (towards the front end of the car's engine compartment) makes it very narrow. This one replaces another part of the same DEA A4236 part that fell apart after 45,000 miles. (When I removed the old part, the inside fell out. It was completely shot in about 3 years.) It was supposed to be replaced 45,000 ago, but I didn't pay attention. If it fails within a short period of time, I'll most likely use a genuine Lexus part.

When dealing with auto parts, I consider several factors: How long does R&R take? How important is the role? From there I weigh the cost and the quality. For example, struts work very hard even on smooth roads and require a lot of hard work to replace. So I'm willing to pay more for quality and a product that works well and lasts a long time. This part is VERY EASY to replace, takes a maximum of an hour and requires a jack and wrench. So it makes sense for me to spend less and sacrifice…
