Good quality exactly as pictured

We recently bought a new door and I knew I needed something to improve our security so I bought this to match the door handle we chose. The installer was kind enough to put this on the door, had no problem using it on an insulated fiberglass door (which looks like wood). I am very happy with the quality at such a good price.

Needs fine tuning

They look great with the new oiled bronze hardware that I replaced on my door. Your installation was painful. On the fixed part of the door I had to find a spacer to position it properly to hook the hinge part. The ball is actually too big to sit where it's supposed to (a design flaw) so after installing it I couldn't get it to walk between the loops. In the end I filed the ball so that it fixes the lock properly. If you think it was a coincidence I bought 2 and installed one on the front and…

Great product - no instructions but easy to understand

Great product for the price. Don't look elsewhere for exactly what you're looking for, look on the other side of the door. Excellent viewing angles. Be careful when drilling holes. I used my 7/8 Milwaukee Dozer kit but 5/8 would be better. Also, be careful when rinsing. It can be seen in all the photos that almost all the holes are blown out from the outside and if you don't have a spare paint there may be chips on the other end which are difficult to repair. All user errors. I did the same but

Excellent quality, BUT be careful before buying (details)

Very good quality equipment. I have a very expensive front door that costs over $10,000 and that was 20 years ago. The equipment alone cost $1,500. This lock suits him perfectly - and looks like it's from the same set. However, in the end I decided not to use it for the following reason: if you live with more than one person, be aware that this feature of this product may not work for you as you risk getting banned. Unless you are 100% sure that nobody in your house goes to bed and closes the…

A bolt, no bolt

Ideal for my door fittings. I love that it comes with two plastic spacers for uneven mounting surfaces. It came with some longer screws, which is good, but I have French style double doors, so those screws go right through the doors. I had #8 screws that worked great. I bought this because my 3 year old can now open the front door by himself. I don't really consider this a good safety lock, more like a baby gate. Nothing against this product but I'm not entirely sure about the reliability of…
