Lifesaving. They are doing renovations and you just can't find antique door handles locally. Installing a new style is a huge waste of time and PITA.

So good quality so far, I've had the glass type and it didn't last long because I had to somehow hold onto it to support my disabled weight.

Definitely a good buy. Better than the new old style crystal door knobs that you get with the standard mortise hardware set.

Bought for an old bathroom door. Installation was easy and it looked good. Unfortunately, the handle kept coming off the spindle. No matter how I tightened the screw, it always happened. I bought a second one thinking it was just a bad pen but the second one has the exact same issue. I think you get what you pay for.

Very light. Feels like plastic, not metal. It's light, like these Christmas ball decorations (hollow). I use it in my front door and while it looks ok it feels cheap. The $12 price was too good for some reason. A good set that feels good costs about $40.

The only real pluses to this are that it's solid metal and won't peel the plating, and the knob itself is larger than a typical spindle. That's all. However, like any other spindle knob, it comes loose easily and often. No matter how many times you tighten the pin, it will loosen again after a month. You could potentially get stuck in a room because you turn the knob but it doesn't hold the spindle so it keeps turning but not opening. This is already the third, everyone is doing the same thing.
