🚘 Black Derale 13612 Series 9000 Plate and Fin Transmission Oil Cooler Review

I replaced an old onboard cooler in my jeep. This cooler is beautifully finished and looks very durable. I liked it so much that I bought Derale 13611 for power steering fluid. I highly recommend this (or these) filter.

Installed on my Subaru Forester XT with CVT. I used staples to make a custom fit. Make sure you use teflon tape/grease before screwing on the nipple to avoid leaks. I didn't use the tubing that came with it as I used a 3/8" ID braided nylon tubing instead. This greatly improved cooling. On the mountain pass here in 90 degree weather it was 215-220. Super cooler! A recommendation. The cooler comes with 3/8" barb fittings and 11/32" hose. It is VERY difficult, even with lubrication, to install a 11/32 hose on a 3/8 fitting with coolant installed! I've tried fitting a 11/32 hose to a 3/8 fitting with the radiator mounted to the condenser.
