Did what I had to do.

I used a relay and sensor and put crappy crimps on the terminals. I soldered and wrapped all the wires in shrink tubing. The relay seems to work fine, but since it's a standard plug I can replace it in the future if needed.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Not sure

Worthy product for its price

The device is solidly made and has a nice carrying strap. It works well and handles the electric fan well. The bolt is really tiny, so you need to handle it carefully so as not to break it and install it into the main threaded plug using only your hands.

Pros
  • Excellent price
Cons
  • Matching

Not like the picture. Engine cooling and air conditioning

Not like the picture. The picture shows it has a built in fuse holder but the one that says you have to put your own fuse. If it wasn't in the picture I would have ordered it at the same time as this kit. And it's not the same thermostat as in the photo. To the fact that in the photo the wires are already connected. The one that comes with the kit has no wires.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • There are nuances

Excellent controller so far

Works as it should. Followed the instructions provided, comes with a chart which is very helpful. Will be updated in the future for testing, but I've used it to add an electric fan to my mechanical fan crown. Double electric fan, the controller turns on the main fan 180 degrees, the other fan is connected to the old auxiliary fan wiring. I used an aluminum radiator hose for the temp sensor, works great.

Pros
  • Free for educational use
Cons
  • Easy maintenance

I need to find another brand that will improve in the future

I tightened the transfer block in the adapter and the transfer block broke in two before tightening enough not to leak, the block was like that thin From the hex to the threaded part of the device that broke in half showing the thickness of the brass in that part of the device was about 0.0010 I need to find another brand that will be made better in the future I ended with Derale

Pros
  • Strong finish
Cons
  • Was damaged

Great controller! - Fan and parts

This controller was easy to install but for my application (Nissan Xterra 2003) I didn't use a water jacket connector as I couldn't find space for it. Instead, I drilled/tapped a hole in the reinforced area on the upper body of the radiator hose that already housed the temperature sensor for the factory gauge on the cluster. (I would only recommend this process to experienced people!) Most of the included items were workable, but the connectors are really cheap and cheap so I used solder and…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
