Very happy with performance

I bought this a while back when I got my DW chainsaw and still haven't used it. I used it yesterday to cut a dado out of 3/4" plywood for a coaster I'm building. It took about 10 minutes to adjust properly to take the game out while driving it down the track. After that did it works great. If you buy this, take your time to adjust and then tighten the two 'camber nuts' on the back edge of the adapter - after all, the key to successful woodworking is taking the time, your tools set it upโ€ฆ

Don't buy if you have a DW611PK: doesn't really fit all Dewalt routers

I have a dedicated desktop router that never leaves the desk and separately I have a Dewalt DW611PK for the occasional small manual routing. I wanted to buy a chainsaw system and was comparing buying a Makita system and a Dewalt system. I ended up buying a Dewalt chainsaw and bar when I saw I could do it with a Dewalt adapter that claims to come with adapters for all Dewalt routers only to find that all Dewalt routers all full size dewalt routers meant (mostly 618, 621 and 625) but not 611. So there is a review on the first page saying this will work with Bosch 1617 dive center but the holes must be light - loosened up a bit. That means there is actually no need to use this guide with Bosch. This guide contains various adapters for use with various Dewalt (and Porter Cable) routers. There is an adapter labeled "DW625" that mounts to the TOP of the Bosch 1617 dive base WITHOUT modification. Since it fits into the top of the base and not the slots in the guide rod holes, it isโ€ฆ

Bosch 1617EVS: Will fit but will not fit dip base without modifications

This test/guide is for the Bosch 1617EVS. I've read conflicting reviews about whether it works or not, so here's the definitive answer. I have a set that comes with a dive center that I bought in 2016. When delivered, it fits into the base of the router. You have to flip it to position it correctly, but it works. It doesn't fit the dip bottom (which I blame Bosch), the hole is a little too small. I used a 27/64" bit (you could use 7/16" but that wouldn't be as practical), slightly reamed theโ€ฆ

Great solution for dado milling, much cheaper than Festool

I was thrilled when I saw this DeWalt rail milling cutter adapter. I used to hate routing dados. I don't have a table saw so I had to use my DeWalt router for Dado. I tried one of these "exact width" jigs, but it was very tedious to use. Then I tried it with a simple ruler, but that's also tedious when you want the skirting board to be a bit wider than the cutter. And when the router jumped or I didn't press properly, the router moved slightly off the ruler and distorted the nozzle. The overall

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
