🔌 DeWalt DXCM024 0345 Automatic Retraction Enclosed: Hassle-Free Power Air Hose Reel Review

I was disappointed that my inner tube was so difficult to unwind and prepare for use in the garage, often just to inflate a bike tire. I love Dewalt tools so I keep this hose dispenser by my workbench. It was quick to wall mount and all I had to do was hook up an extension to my compressor which I can now place directly under the dispenser to save valuable space. Very neat and compact build. Recommend.

'Nuts' on hose fittings too close to 'bulge' when crimped. This results in there not being enough room to fully tighten the tool fitting to the hose fitting. What happens is that due to the thickness of the wrenches (standard Craftsman wrenches) you end up tightening the "tool" fitting onto the wrench used for the "hose" fitting. Product does not work. The reel is advertised as having a ratcheting mechanism that can stop anywhere. It doesn't work on my block. As a result, the hose is always under tension. This will damage any tool I attach to the hose as it will hit the ground with a spool. Would appreciate getting a new unit of work to revise this review. So I'm glad I did but the first one I got had a bad air leak right out of the box; it was not repairable. Support worked with me and provided me with a replacement. That's a great thing, but the second has a slow leak that can't be detected except by noting a drop in air pressure over a period of time. Also, the spool stretches and retracts well.
