This item lasted 13 months and all 3 blinds I bought broke within 2 weeks. The cheap plastic pieces holding the springs broke and the entire curtain fell down. I didn't even use them when they broke. I bought these blinds in November 2019 and wasn't happy with them for long. On November 4th, 2020, the strings, springs and block fell apart. My guess is that the plastic around the shade got damaged due to the window being exposed to the sun. The blinds fell at night when the curtain was closed and nobody touched it. I bought 4 of these blinds in January 2020. Although I've had them for over a year and a half I expected them to last longer. I have never raised or lowered them. One of them is fine. UPDATE #2: As of September 2021 the other one is broken and won't raise or lower. We have a big one. We rarely use it because we're afraid it will work. I need to buy something else for these windows but we definitely won't be buying these again. I had such hopes in the beginning but they crumbled.
