Doesn't last long.: Fan Sander

This brush is great for sanding burnt wood, but if you use it for that, it won't last long. I was able to get 3 25 inch boards front and back.

Works well but not as long as expected

The product worked as expected, just didn't last as long as expected. It may have been a bad expectation on my part, but after an hour of use, about a quarter of the bristles were already worn out.

much easier to use than a wire brush or sandpaper

Used for Shou Sugi Ban. A Japanese method of preserving wood by burning it without additives or chemicals. BUT. Removing the charred/blackened portion of wood can be spent a lot of time with a wire brush or sandpaper. They come in different sizes, just like sandpaper.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Really good but not great

I'm not sure I can call this the equivalent of 80 grit and it seems like it should be more correct. In addition to cleaning the wheels up/down, the product started falling apart (okay, very heavy use). So I had to use a hammer to drive the metal blades back into the strings. I would buy again for light work, but not for heavy work.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Works but short life under heavy use

Worked no doubt but not for long. There was a decent amount of tracks, totaling maybe 4 hours. photo after. Pieces began to peel off and he stopped working as everything was badly bent. It would have been nice if it had lasted longer given the price, but I think it was intense. It worked well overall and I ended up buying another to finish the job, which was a little annoying. The end product was exactly what I got it for.

Please read this review.

I gave the rating 3 stars and here's the kicker. The product is not that good. I used to buy them from another supplier to scratch Shou Sugi Ban. The brush is no longer the same. With finer individual bristles you get half as many bristles. Look very carefully at the difference between the first picture and the second picture. If you're looking for a very good version, look for a brand from the Century Tool 80 course. Big difference. I will say that the seller had 5 stars as they accepted the…

I'm pretty sure it wasn't what I expected

Something is wrong here. I'm pretty sure this wasn't my expectation given the description of the product, so I'm starting to suspect it's a product. I bought this to remove the paneling from an old bookshelf. I attached it to my drill and. Spring . It seemed to handle the dangerous ejection of high-speed textured nylon line well. What he didn't do was remove the trim from the bookcase. General. Just a bit. I spent about 10 minutes on the porch working on one side of the hull to no avail; I feel

The brushes slip out, but that's an easy fix.

I ordered these brushes because they are faster and cut soft wood fairly well. When you first receive this product, the small pieces of metal that hold the brushes tend not to stick to it as well. It's an easy fix, as you can see, I placed some epoxy ($3-6 just about anywhere, Walmart, Lowe's, etc.), removed any loose ends, and mixed the epoxy appropriately. Apply epoxy where they go in (a decent amount), press the metal pieces back into the groove and wipe off excess epoxy. Let it dry and…
