This brush is great for sanding burnt wood, but if you use it for that, it won't last long. I was able to get 3 25 inch boards front and back.

The product worked as expected, just didn't last as long as expected. It may have been a bad expectation on my part, but after an hour of use, about a quarter of the bristles were already worn out.

Used for Shou Sugi Ban. A Japanese method of preserving wood by burning it without additives or chemicals. BUT. Removing the charred/blackened portion of wood can be spent a lot of time with a wire brush or sandpaper. They come in different sizes, just like sandpaper.

I ordered these brushes because they are faster and cut soft wood fairly well. When you first receive this product, the small pieces of metal that hold the brushes tend not to stick to it as well.
