Buy a new bolt first

Good cheap bushing puller but needed a new bolt right away as the bolt/wing nut snapped off. Overall excellent after Lowe's new bolt.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Hardware is bad, machined parts are good

Machined aluminum stampings work well in a vise. An attempt to use a screw and wing nut failed. The nut is torn off at low torque. I unscrewed the old bushing with a vise.

Pros
  • Best in Niche
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging

It does not fit modern bikes with Big Du hubs

The product is well made, but it is not suitable for Big Du hubs. If the bolt were longer, it would be worth 100% of its weight in gold. I actually went to Lowe's and Home Depot to get two wing nuts and a longer threaded bolt to make it work. hope that helps

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Old

Decent abs for the price

The different sizes of sockets fit very well and seem to be well made. However, the bolt that comes with this jack press is of very poor quality. The threads broke on the first use. If you are looking for a cheap jack press I would recommend this one but you will need to spend money to get a better quality bolt to use with it.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • I don't like anything about it everything is fine

Need a better nut in design

Overall not bad for the price. An important note, as mentioned in other reviews, is that it is difficult to turn a standard flare nut during the pressing or extraction process. It is best to replace it with a standard hex nut and use a deep socket instead. Also, it worked great with both the 12.5mm Fox du hub and the older 12.0mm Manitou du hub.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

Good tool, but not adjusted properly. Added photos showing correct setup.

This is a good tool at a reasonable price. Problems that other customers have when installed upside down without instructions. Set it up like the photos I've added and it works great. Apply a drop of grease to the threads, hold the wing nut with pliers and turn the bolt with a 5mm hex wrench. Ideally, replace the wing nut with a hex nut so you can use a socket wrench instead of pliers.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Expensive

Tool works but screw and wing nut is a problem

Overall good quality except for m6 100mm stainless steel (SS) screw and stainless steel wing nut. Usually SS is great, but not necessarily the strongest in terms of tensile strength or yield point. As mentioned, the screw and wing nut caught on first use, and the screw also bent a bit. I barely got the wing nut off while worried about scratching the shock if I wasn't careful. Finding a replacement for the 100mm M6 bolt was not easy. The punches are machined with an M6 screw for precise use…

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Lots of stuff
