Big shock! Very important!

This shock feels way better than my old Fox RP23 and Rockshox Monarch RT. I definitely recommend it. You can't beat the price! Well done DNM

Pros

Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Do not buy! - Rear shock absorbers

After more than a month of riding on the shock absorbers and without a hard ride. rear seal exploded! I'm not the only one who bought this shock absorber. I cannot recommend this shock absorber.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Small flaws

Not worth the money

The damper has only been in use since August 10th, 2020 and only broke the seal after an accident-related overland trip. The shock felt good until it exploded. Much better to spend the extra money on Rockshox or Fox Racing. There's a reason these DNM air shocks are so cheap.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • The packaging is ugly

Great Value Parts and Components

If like me you're unsure about upgrading a coil shock that came off a big box bike, don't. First impressions are amazing, this damper feels like a well built piece. Sure, it's not for descents or big jumps, but this thing is absolutely worth $80. So happy with this shock.

Pros
  • Consistent Test Results
Cons
  • Some Flaws

Great budget option

I bought this shock when I ordered my Mongoose Ledge X1 and installed it before my second ride. The difference was amazing and the damping adjustment is not only noticeable but effective. This is my first full suspension mountain bike so I have no experience with other shocks but I would definitely recommend this one.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Running speed

Does the job cheaply

Replaced a broken short travel DT Swiss shock with this one. DT used to be well considered, and I can't say DNM is noticeably worse in any way. There are very few short trip options these days that come down to $80 DNM versus $350 Fox. I wish there was an option to buy a remote for it, but $300 is also good in your pocket.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Update Availability

The damper works well and has survived several rides.

. The original AD12 shock finally got to the stage where I was considering replacing it. I've rebuilt the AD12 a few times and was looking for another that is exactly like this. After much internet searching for a suitable replacement, I settled on a DNM shock with 216mm eye mounts. The distance between the eyes of the Sugar 2+ was 205mm as far as I could measure. A direct replacement could not be found. The consequence of using 216mm instead of 205mm was the loss of 11mm of travel. That's not…

Pros
  • . Easy to read control panel.
Cons
  • . New competition has arrived.
