don't buy that. Foreign production. I bought .

Do not buy. Foreign production. I bought 521-108 and 521-109, different part numbers for each side. The parts were made of steel of two different strengths. One had reinforcement scarves welded in, the other didn't. I would say it's not safe for the car!

Pros
  • Good to use
Cons
  • Empty

Ball joints don't last long

The product was easy to install but after 3 years and 35k the passenger lower ball joint broke. Last winter an alignment specialist told me the ball joints weren't working well. I didn't believe it because they were only 2.5 years old and had traveled maybe 22,500 miles. In fact, one broke last weekend. The other one is also about to explode. Personally, I think there should be a refund percentage, but I'm not holding my breath.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast

Not easy to get in, but otherwise not a difficult setup.

Doesn't go in easily but I don't think it's Moog's fault. I found it easiest to insert the rear screw first. Keep it as level as possible, then use a rubber mallet to hammer it near the correct position. The rubber grommet may not be vertical enough to go all the way. So try to start it in the grommet and then do your best to move it around until it goes through. Cursing helps, but eventually you should be able to get it. Once the rear screw is in (not tightened), work on getting the frontโ€ฆ

It fits like a glove. but no mirrors!

This is an exact and perfect replacement for the factory part. It didn't take any hard work to replace it - just some wd40 and some elbow grease. My rods were fine. Both ball joints were about to literally fall apart. Even by car was less than 50,000. Factory bushings were in good condition. Keep the old levers and press the new bushings and ball joints into the machine shop so you have a spare. A replacement at a local dealership is $10 for ball joints (with mirrors) and not much more forโ€ฆ

  • Not bad

Not ideal for Dodge Caliber R/T 2007

This part is made in Taiwan but appears to be well made. After installing this (and another one on the driver's side) the car was overfilled again and the rattle from a worn ball joint was gone. I was offered CAD$820 for parts and labor to swap out the wishbones on both sides, so I decided to buy the parts here and swap them out myself. The only real problem I had was that the barrel was too long and protruding in the case. about 1/8 inch, making it impossible to install it that way (theโ€ฆ
