Dorman Intake Hose - Very Good

This is a dependable replacement option for the Honda Accord intake hose. The quality is very good, I think this item will last a long time. You can find cheaper versions of this part online, but I recommend using this one. The installation will proceed without any problems.

  • Easy to Use

Defective if you don't have a drill

Branded part of my local AutoZone and Oreilys carry 25% less money. The only thing that could be done better is to drill through the temperature sensor and the vacuum line. Both photos show they are airtight and I had to pierce them to allow a working fresh air intake.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Poor quality of belts, hoses and pulleys

This boot is clearly of poor quality. The two small holes are not even drilled! I had to use a drill and open them. The finish seems decent, but the fit was also poor. It took some heat to attach the throttle body. I usually use original rubber parts but stopped there because I needed them the next day when the dealer was closed. Avoid this if you have other options, but if you buy it, check carefully before installing.

Pros
  • Very good quality
Cons
  • There is a negative result

Good product and good value for money.

The product was very decent and good value. For one of the sensors you need to make a hole. The form is there, but it won't open. It wasn't difficult, if you're concerned, just stab it with a knife. I did not receive the spring in the package and opted for a standard clamp. Thickness is good, the rubber is a little more pliable than the OEM but not enough to discourage you from using it. All in all, a very good way to replace the intake hose.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Quality

Just doesn't fit my 2004 Honda Accord

When I first got this product I was thrilled that it cost about half what Toyota was asking for it. Unfortunately, you usually get what you pay for. First of all, this air intake hose is made of very light and soft rubber. Also, the air temp sensor didn't fit in the pre-drilled hole. Last but not least, the two smoke fittings did not match the pre-drilled holes in this new hose. So I got it back after spending over an hour installing it. Yesterday I was at Honda and bought a new one there…

Pros
  • Quality construction - made from quality materials to last
Cons
  • Vanish

You may want to read my comments.

I recently installed two of these Dorman air sampling tubes. One on a 2004 Accord EX and one on a 2006 Accord EX. Both models are four cylinders. This hose can be used on several car models. The 2004 Accord requires an air sensor on the end of the throttle body so I had to drill out the rubber in the appropriate location. never mind The 2006 agreement did not require a sensor at this point, so no changes were needed. Others point out that the material isn't as durable as the OEM version. It is…

Pros
  • Great value - OE quality at a lower price
Cons
  • Damaged

Works fine, slightly softer than OEM, spring compressor on airbox end sucks.

Everything is fine and working. However, it doesn't quite match the OEM for two reasons: it's softer than the OEM, and it eliminates the use of a factory yoke that attaches to the airbox outlet, replacing it with a round spring that you have to fit into a groove that is molded at the end air chamber. As for the softer and more pliable rubber, it could either be because the original rubber is 10 years old and the rubber has become hard and brittle (causing my OEM to crack and fail on those…
