About 5-10% of these switches fail within the first week. I bought many hundreds of these last year but haven't had any problems with them until the last few months. Mounting nuts are removed during installation. The internal spring mechanism fails, so the key does not return after starting. Complaint that the key falls out. What happened to quality control?

Didn't work right out of the box

I already had one on my tractor that looked exactly like this but the key started to stick and then stopped working. I thought it was because I caught the key in my pocket when I got up so I ordered this one which looked identical. It was very easy to connect, but when I turned the key there was no voltage on any of the other terminals. There must be an internal problem with the switch and I think the old one has the same problem. I will return it and get one locally at NAPA.

The first thing you need to know is that security hardware is unique. According to the folks at Tacoma Screw, the fasteners are neither metric nor US (don't loosen the fastener nuts and don't expect to buy a washer to go behind them). Worse still, nothing prevents the assembly from turning when the mounting nut is loosened. All of…

Perfect solution for my 1947 Crosley sedan

I needed a modern approach to the key ignition for my 1947 Crosley so I combined this switch with a 6V automotive relay to better meet the electrical needs of this car to fulfill and to improve the starting sequence. There is an auxiliary position (ACC pin) for connecting wipers and radio, an ignition position (IGN pin) for connecting the electrical ignition spark, sensors and charge feedback, a battery position (BAT pin) for turning on the vision light switch and the brake light switch horn, a
