Despite it being marketed as a solution for Mercury column repair, I found it to be ineffective and a waste of money. Perfect for my 2002 Explorer. No modifications are necessary, the pin and spring clip fit perfectly. I have chosen not to remove the steering wheel and airbag to avoid any unforeseen risk or consequence. I bought this part in February and had it professionally installed at a specialty store. It worked great until this weekend when the new part, this part, broke too.
