Breaks easily into attachments

Used for old resilient mortar. Worked. until it broke. The end of the beat didn't take long to break off. I ended up with a few bits and at that price it turned out to be an expensive project. I wish they were stronger because when they worked it was a lot easier than using a hand scraper.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Defective

Works great but may need a few!

This made my job of removing the grout in the shower walls a lot easier. However, keep in mind that you may need more than one. For three walls in a standard size bathroom, I needed two of these. Over time, they turn black and break off. Still saved so much time that it was worth it.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Good at best! - Power and Hand Tools

For removing excess thin mass from ceramic wall tiles at 1/8 inch intervals. This milling cutter or drill does not remain locked in the chuck during side cutting. The Slim set was a modified variant of Mapei and it took a lot of work to get the job done. It was good when he made a cut, landing on cuts, but he couldn't cut himself much at all in a distracting side impact. Mediocre product.

  • Good Cause

Expensive but necessary

I recently had a fire in my house and the seams in the bathroom were soiled with soot. I've tried everything to remove stains and also tried some hand tools to remove grout lines but finally found it and bought a drum roller for that reason. High works fine. I would give it 5 stars but it's quite expensive and takes 5 to 6 to finish the bathroom. If you've never cleaned grout, buy a good respirator.

Brittle at high speed, still the best solution for fine grouting

Previously re-grouted a shower tray with a poorly grouted hex tile 2 times. 4 of them used. One broke in less than 10 minutes, the other 3 lasted over an hour from constant grinding. My only advice is to run your dremel at half speed when the bit is fresh and sharp. As the drill becomes dull, gradually increase the speed. Also tried a number of diamond and titanium coated bits in multipacks. The grout is strong and melts in 5-6 minutes at a time on medium speed.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Minor issues

Disappointing as everyone else said

I bought two of these to fill the corners of my bathtub that I'm remodeling. I have a large insert plate for my multi-tool to handle most of the grout, but I need something that can get into tight corners. I read the bad reviews and figured if they were true I at least had a backup. Turns out they're worse than I thought. One of these pieces could barely go through a corner of the mortar. I would skip them entirely unless you have very little work to do. I ended up buying a different shaped…

  • everything is great!

  • I won't say anything

Great price compared to the hardware store

Great price compared to the hardware store, especially if you buy a multipack. Great product if you already own a Dremel or another brand of rotary tool, I have a handyman and it worked great. This is much quicker than using a craft knife or razor blades. Если у вас есть большая площадь, с которой нужно удалить раствор, или участок с тонной раствора, я использовал для удаления раствора с пола душа размером 5 на 3 фута, который имел 1-дюймовую шестигранную плитку, поэтому нужно было удалить…

Effective but short lived

Like many other reviewers I found these bits effective at removing grout but their durability left a lot to be desired. I re-grouted in our small (3ft x 7ft) bathroom using 2-inch hexagonal tiles (i.e. lots of grout). The Dremel nozzle dips right into the grout and quickly removes it, at least when it's new. doesn't last very long. The problem I had wasn't so much with the bits breaking as with them dulling after moderate use. Once blunt, the bits will get caught in the grout and become more…
