Easy to wash but wrinkled

Comparison of Duofold and FX MAXHEAT soft fleece base layers. Duofold thermal underwear consists mainly of cotton and wool. It is thicker and therefore feels relatively warm. Easily washable but with creases. Comfortable fit thanks to the loose fit. hole in the crotch. FX MAXHEAT consists of a combination of fleece on the inside and polyester on the outside. It's quite warm for how thin it seems. Washes beautifully wrinkle-free. Comfortable fit and snug stretch to show off what you've got when…

Not like it used to be

Got these as a gift for my nephew and they came packaged in a plastic bag from Revain so the box they came in was completely flat. So it's on Revain and it's pretty crappy. And the panty shirt itself is much thinner than the ones I had many years ago, although I tried to order panties labeled "Original". The old ones are clearly two-ply (hence duo-fold) but that's not at all and when really merino wool is capable, you don't see that. Also, I ordered the same bottoms but the blue color is…

Great shirt for the cold.

Mom bought us these shirts when we were little - I liked them so much that I still wear this model (I wear it now). The inner layer is made of cotton and the outer layer is made of a blend of wool and cotton, which provides enough warmth without itching the skin. Love coming home from work and throwing it on - super comfy and warm so we can beat the heat a bit. Two things to note: this is not a "functional" shirt that wicks moisture, so best to just "wear" it - and don't tumble dry it as the…

The quality has gone down, now it has

I used to really like them, but the design has changed, and now they are of terrible quality. My photos show the contrast between the old duofold shirt I've had for years (smooth) and the new version (strangely crumpled). The new version shrinks ridiculously and turns into a crumpled mess after 1 wash! Weird wrinkling/shrinkage has occurred on the Duofold shirt and two pairs of Duofold pants so this is clearly not an isolated case. I am so disappointed. For over a decade this has been my base…

I've worn them since I was a child.

My mother used to buy them for me when I was little. I'm 52 now and I still wear them every winter. Ready to wear, they're as soft as your old favorite t-shirt, only a lot warmer! If you're heading out in the cold and layering, this is the perfect base. If it gets too hot, just peel off the outer layer and you're good to go. Some reviews complain about shrinkage. What can you expect from a product made almost entirely of cotton and wool? I wash them in cold water and then hang them up to dry…

Warm and comfortable

I am currently wearing medium weight duofold pants. About 2 weeks ago I was wearing a blue top and bottoms, and when it's cold in New England I comfort myself with an extra layer on the outside, or I just wear them as pajamas. I don't like polyester or synthetics. I don't like these high-tech stuff. I prefer natural fibers that come in contact with my skin. The cotton layer on the inside and the merino wool on the outside are great for the winter. I think the stitching and seams are well done…
