You never get rid of the dust

I checked this once and said it works but it's a very dusty time to change them and I've literally flushed, pressed, pricked, sprayed them by tomorrow , never, never buy that works, but you can never get rid of the dust, that's junk

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons

Outstanding filter media for nitrate reduction!

Excellent product for reducing nitrate in aquarium plants. Also great for leaving tanks when they've been gone for a week or so and someone else feeds the fish. You need to constantly control water changes and keep track of maintenance. Doesn't replace a water change, it replaces chemicals.

Is working! Lowered my level in a few hours!

Working! Lowered my nitrates in hours! In my photo: 1- 0 nitrates 2- my high nitrates before the filter 3- nitrates after 8 hours with the filter The color is yellow with no nitrates. The darker the liquid, the more nitrates. As you can see (#3) the color is lighter than #2! The reason for my purchase is to try to stabilize nitrate levels. Lol My tank is spinning and I add a general purpose live plant fertilizer that contains nitrates. I need this filter to keep the nitrates at a safe levelโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Decent performance

  • The list will be long.

For 4 bowl fresh water canister systems - Amazing purchase and value

I use this gasket to keep nitrite/nitrate levels down in my 75 gallon reverse osmosis water tanks. All I can do before using this pad is apply heavy water pressure to it and let it sit down the sink for a few minutes before placing it in your filtration systems. This will remove loose or residual particles. However, it is NOT harmful to freshwater fish when large amounts of loose particles are present. YOU don't want it to be fish food or they may get sick. I have big and giant Silver Dollarsโ€ฆ

sprinkled fish - filter accessories

At first I was neutral. I didn't have good or bad results. I later removed the gasket to replace it and the one in the filter filled my tank with powder. I used a gravel cleaner and cleaned everything I could. The next day I almost treated my fish for ichthyophthyriasis because they were suddenly covered in white speckles. I bought the drug and just before using it I noticed that the white spots were only on the top of each fish. I looked closer and knew it. The stains came from this pad. Yesโ€ฆ

  • Few competitors

Destroyed entire cherry shrimp population in 1 hour

I don't want to ruin anyone's business but I would like to warn you not to have the same problem. I used a filter on my cherry shrimp tank. I had about 40 shrimp. First I washed the pillow and squeezed out the excess as others have recommended. The water quickly became dusty and cloudy even after rinsing. It can be seen in both photos. My shrimp started to float to the surface after about 10 minutes and might have been gasping for air (see picture). Then I realized something was wrong and tried

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Minor issues
