🔴 EBC Brakes DP31789C Redstuff Ceramic Brake Pad - Low Dust Formula Review

I like the brake pads because of the low dust levels, but I would have liked a little more initial grip. I'm at the bottom of the break, about 500 miles, and it's all highway. installed them, made some starter beds, and then drove 500 miles to college. I like the braking power, but would have liked a little more initial grip.

Perfect for my 2012 Mini Cooper S R56. After the first 5,000 miles with them you can see the difference in the amount of dust generated. These red pads generate less than half the dust compared to OEM pads. The performance is exactly as advertised, great stopping power. I will buy again.

The brakes on the R56 Cooper S are almost identical to the John Cooper Works brakes on the MINI Gen1 (R50-53). This DP31789 is for these MINIs. Fits perfectly. They creaked a little for the first 100 miles or so, then went quiet as they went to bed. MUCH less dust than OEM, MORE clutch when hot. I love these pillows. Trust these Brits with MINI brakes!

The pads for the inside and outside of the caliper are different, but instructions are not included. The shoe with the higher semicircle on top slides close to the piston. Works great with the Bosch Rotor. They will fit 2008 Mini Cooper S (R56 n14). All pads have a recess for the wear indicator. Includes anti-squeak plate on the back. The car stops in the same way as with regular brake pads. Cold stops are fine. But the noise is driving me insane. Brake dust is more or less the same as the OEM.

I bought EBC Red brakes for my 2013 Mini Cooper Clubman and couldn't be happier. Much better than the squeaky and short-lived standard mini-pads, plus they just look better, they're red. I used the Revain compatibility tool to select rear pads for my 2007 Mini Cooper S (non JCW) and got the completely wrong pad. When it came time to make the front brakes I used some outside resources to determine what part number I would need and they worked great. They felt REALLY tight initially - make sure you FULLY compress the calipers before attempting to mount the caliper block onto the shoe bracket. I put Plasti-Grease (against squeaks) all over the back of the pad but not on the "ears"
