I love grinders, but sometimes the light on the pepper grinder doesn't work. No big deal, that's the way it is. Something not big enough to send back but big enough to bother you! You decide!

Just need a basic salt grinder. The first attempt was with dollar store batteries, no loops. Then I went and bought a good Energizer battery, without loops. She had a hard time grinding sugar! Rather spend a few euros more and buy a better one.

I use it for Himalayan pink rock salt, it grinds well but the grind adjustment doesn't work properly. I can loosen the screw all the way and it doesn't matter. When it gets rough the little protrusions look like they might break on reassembly, let's see if they hold.

It worked for about a month and when I refilled it it started doing what the video above does. I've emptied it, cleaned it, turned it by hand and it grinds well, but the motor is clearly not powerful enough to move it. When I first got it it didn't make such a stuttering noise, but now it doesn't squeak anymore. Took long enough to push it out of the returns window.

The only thing you buy it for it can't do. The grinder is constantly clogged. To be honest, jamming took longer than grinding. After clearing the jam, it grinds for 2 seconds and then jams again. My other issue with the product was assembly; The brittle plastic components looked like I might break them trying to add batteries. The light function almost never worked, but who is silent in the dark.

So comfy and kid friendly. I just switched my seasonings to Himalayan sea salt, peppercorns, and OH MY GOD. I can't tell you enough how much this helps me in the kitchen. It's battery operated so no more muscle work lol. (sorry some of us are lazy) but i have to say my kids love it and i am actually planning to buy another one. Cleaning is very easy. DO NOT pour this in water to clean, a microfiber cloth and a slightly damp paper towel will do the job just fine.

updated 5/27/21. He died a few months later. The grinder inside is plastic, so of course it just keeps getting dumber and dumber until it stops grinding. Such a cheap design to use a plastic grinder instead of a metal grinder. Barely lasted 3 months. DO NOT BUY. Just pay extra for the best. Original review: I love that you can use it with one hand.
