ELIKE DT6013 Capacitance Capacitor Function Review

It would be great if there was a 9V connector so I could plug the battery in. Later: Found the battery cable hidden in the case.

Bought a pool pump tester. I was able to check the run capacitor on the motor to see if it's bad. Was able to save several hundred dollars by diagnosing and fixing myself.

Works very well for its price. I tested an old capacitor that had just been replaced by an AC tech and got the same reading as my new meter. I have tested the new capacitor I bought when the problem reoccurs and the reading is within the % stated on the capacitor label.

I bought it because of the claimed accuracy (0.6%). This is about 10 times more accurate than many multimeters that include a capacitor readout. I gave up on "auto-zeroing" for the sake of accuracy. For very small capacitors - 1-99 pF - manual auto-zeroing is required. Not so much for longer ranges. Works great! Great function at a low price!

Shipped in the wrong packaging. Well, that's fine. At first I was hesitant to buy something with a name that sounded fake from a well-known company, but this thing is pretty accurate, at least for my purposes - measuring small (typically <100nF) capacitors. It seems pretty accurate, which is a good thing. I previously bought and returned one of those feature rich one button offerings, it didn't work quite right and was pretty inaccurate. There are no such problems here.

I tried using this counter recently and the only reading I could get was -1. No matter where I moved the dial, I still got a reading of -1. I tried to test the capacitor and followed the instructions on the sheet that came with it. I tried testing four capacitors and still got the same result which is -1. Three problems with this shipment. First the capacitive gauge came in a box of another product (photo). Second, the Revain description says "Protective Rubber Case" but it wasn't in the box. When I finally unscrewed and opened the battery compartment, there was no battery connector (photo). There was no wiring connecting the battery to the circuit. Can't be used if you can't install the battery. I returned the product and bought another capacity tester. It was a big waste of my time.

Good value for money. Has worked on every suspected capacitor. Why change the refrigerator, fan, blower or any other device when the condenser has burned out? It's great for the DIYer! However, when I was in China, they had a very cool analog version without a battery that I found on the street. You would wind it up and push the button. The cost is $1. I wish I had bought two dozen instead of two. I ended up giving these two parts to other engineers in the States, I want them to come back…

Used this for two capacitors, took one out of the oven on bad suspicion and replaced the other with a new one. The defective one showed no leaks or swelling. This unit showed 0uF on this defective one and 9.84uF on a replacement that has a 10uF +/- 6% spec. So the counter works. Next time I won't have to guess whether it's the capacitor or the motor that needs replacing. For $11, I'm not looking for an ultra-precise gauge, I'm looking for one that will tell me if it's good or bad. I am glad…
