Have a helping hand. Large windows are very difficult to get perfect.

These were purchased for my mom's house on her account, but I did the installation and thus, am writing the review.First, everyone in the reviews is correct about the install being somewhat of a learning curve. The main part you need to get right is cleaning the window properly (this includes using a razor blade on the edge to remove any excess caulk from the frame) - otherwise it won't lay flat properly after you install. looks great and works as advertised.

Our church office windows are at ground level near the entrance doors. our office administrator requested reflective film so people can not see inside from outside during the day. At night she will just close the blinds . Installation videos were great! it was easy to install the film with help from another person. the most difficult part was trimming the edges. as rough as some of our edges turned out, the film still looked great on the windows.

but overall I was happy with this stuff

I ordered this stuff to make a two way mirror for a magic mirror project I was working on in class. I'm sure the material I put it on had a big impact on the outcome, but overall I was happy with this stuff. It was very reflective when denied any backlighting and easy to see through when I put it over my computer monitor. I would suggest this as a low cost/easy solution if you're looking to make something similar.

Great tint - my new review

Out of the box, there were streaks on the film (see photo). Hoping I didn't get bad material, I did my cuts and installed the tint on one window. The steaks were no longer there, it looks like they were on the protective film only. I installed this on multiple windows without any problems.One note: make sure you clean the window very well before applying the tint. Terrible installation on patio doors

When installing on a patio door it is terrible. Because of the size it folded over on itself and I had to throw it away. Biggest waste of $100.00.

This is a great product. The film has a blue tint to it, so, looking out, the yellows of natural sunlight are muted. From the outside looking in, viewers see their reflection, made just the slightest bit blurry. A person has to go right up to the glass and press their face to it to see inside, and, even then, computer screens are rendered illegible. Why did I wait so long?!?

My 8 and 5 year old helped me install. It helps to have a second adult to help spray the film as you take the backing off. Love the way it looks. I should have done this a long time ago! If you have kids that like to look out the window and destroy your blinds, ditch the blinds, do this and curtains!

Don't buy this! Buy the extra dark version instead!

Don't buy this one! Make sure to buy the extra dark. This does not provide very good privacy during the day at all! Also it did not apply well. It showed lots of marks. Wish I could return but already applied and now I am stuck with it.

Don’t waste you time or energy lost ALL mirror and tint

OK so let me start off by saying I’ve installed window films before although they were the inside kind but these are awful to install it’s like trying to install sticky tinfoil and then trying to cut it against your window and half the time it tears into the window as you’re trying to cut it. Now I followed directions, scraped window pain and cleaned off everything I could. When I finally had it up I was very pleased, really felt like it reduced heat coming in. Great Product A+ Customer Support

Product was a little harder to install than expected but end result was very good. Customer pre and post sales support was great. They answered all my questions very quickly and were very helpful. Would highly recommend for that alone and product was a good price for what you get.

We put this on our patio windows. It suffices and makes it nice so that one can't see into the room, (during daylight hours) for the most part. Applying it is definitely a 2 person job/all day project. A few bubbles and messy edges are probably a given.in case you're a perfectionist. Walk away and critique it the next day.Pretty good.

Excellent product! Coat completely with windex is required to avoid disaster!

I gave 5 stars because if you follow instructions it is super easy to install. Warning: you absolutely must spray and completely coat both the window and the sticky side of the film, or it sticks to itself worse than duct tape, and ruins it, there is no way around this other than to coat with windex then it is easy to install.

Works just as I had hoped.

My A/C struggled to keep my house cool, most of my windows face SE and they get full sun all day. Even keeping the blinds closed and drapes drawn, it struggled.With this film on the windows, the A/C actually cuts off during the day. The inside temp is at least 5° cooler, even with the blinds and drapes open.The appearance is nice, both inside and out. Slightly shaded from inside, mirrored from outside.Delighted with the results!

Item came in a bent box and so was the film on the inside needed to get it up that day so we had to use what we could we could only use about a third of it

Overall very good at reduction in glare/heat, but very difficult to get perfectly smooth

Overall I would recommend this film as I live in a house that was suffering from huge single-pane, east-facing, rear-sliding door that soaks up a lot of early day southern California heat and makes it difficult to keep the house cool. Once the film was applied there was a noticeable difference in the temperature and glare. The outside is like a mirror during the day, and then when it gets dark the effect is reversed and the inside is a mirror. The main drawback, and I don't consider it major…

Bit tricky to install but truly a great product!

With the help of both of my kids, i managed to successfully install this film on two huge sliding glass doors which were 4 feet wide by 9 feet tall. Really a great product and i managed to achieve a professional looking end result although i must say, it took two attempts so order extra material and do a practice window first - including the trimming - as there is certainly a learning curve.
