Good idea, mediocre execution

These crutches have some fantastic ideas, but the execution is lacking/inconsistent.Within hours of first using them, the forearm adjustment pin failed. The forearm adjustment works with a small plastic pin, that slides inside a tube between two holes. The problem is that whoever designed these put the seam of the two plastic halves down the middle splitting the adjustment holes in two. This causes the pin to actually push the two halves apart and pop back down to the lowest setting when…

Cons
  • The added features may create unnecessary complexity for users, particularly those who may have difficulty operating the crutches

The Cadilliac of Crutches!

HEAVY DUTY:These are very sturdy (I weigh >300 lbs) and they don't even creak, let along bow and feel shaky like some others. I grabbed a pair of Ergobaum 7G crutches as soon as I tore the ACL as I couldn't walk at all. Reviews looked great and, even though they were expensive, I figured I needed something that could help me through the pre-surgery and knee replacement recovery period. It took me about 3 days to get used to using them, then I found myself walking…

They are easy to fit but much heavier than expected.

Definitely not lightweight. Even the aluminum poles are very solid. I like the ergonomic hand holds and adjusting is easy.
