Excellent grips, no complaints

I put them on a flat bar road bike. Definitely improves wrist comfort/pain on long rides. They were easy enough to install. A little alcohol and they went off a lot easier than old school rubber pens. Fairly thin grip, if you want something close to a SRAM racing grip I would suggest getting an ESI as they are a bit thicker.

Great Grips for Cross Country

Great Grips - Comfortable and light but definitely harder to get on the handlebars than thick or very thick versions. If you like weight or prefer thin grips these are perfect. If you don't care about 15 grams and a grip diameter that isn't too big, I'd go for the regular chunky variety for an easier setup. If you like thicker grips I would definitely go for the thicker and easiest to install ones.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • There are some downsides

Follow the installation instructions from a video found on the web

Installation is easy if you follow the instructions. Get installation instructions from a video on their website or YouTube. Do you think they will include written instructions with the product? Drink lots of alcohol. Impurities are clearly visible on colored ones. I understand that they are easy to clean with alcohol. I haven't tried uninstalling and reinstalling them yet. I just cut off the last pair with a razor. Black shows no dirt.

Cushioning and enduring!

Well I work in a bike shop and have been using ESI grips on all my bikes for a year and a half for a number of reasons. This helps to dampen vibrations when mountain biking. The different sizes and shapes help with gripping and keep my hand from going numb. I also wear cycling gloves, but without gloves they are just as grippy, even with sweaty hands. I recommend ESI grips to anyone with a numb hand. Install with plenty of isopropyl alcohol. They will tear and tear so be careful and they will…

Very comfy and light, tricky to put on and durability isn't impressive

Old school grips that aren't fancy but my goodness they're comfortable and hold up surprisingly better than many rubber grips. Since it is silicon, the strength is low. Expect them to be swapped out quicker than a good set of pads, especially if you're prone to spills. However, because they are made of silicone, they are very light for those who weigh less. They only weigh 50g while the thicker versions weigh 60g. A simple set of rubber pads can easily weigh over 100g. Plus, they come in 10…

Better than foam on parts and components

I still love it. They continued with more alcohol without grunting or swearing too much. I didn't have to use an air compressor, just dampen a small square of paper towel soaked in alcohol and hold it right in front of the handle while you twist and squeeze to float on top of the alcohol layer. One of them got stuck at about 75% after turning it on and I poured some alcohol right into the handle and after that it all went on. Before that I had KCNC foam grips. They'll never stay in place…

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • A few little things

Great feel, the only grips we use.

These are the only grips I use on my bike and my wife's bike. She only used them for years and I used clips because of the ease of installation and removal, but I've since learned how easy it is to install and remove them. To install - just take Windex, for example the instructions say. I put on a glove to get a better grip, then spray on the bars and the inside of the grip and just press down. If they're new, they'll fight you, but not too hard to get them to. Once worn, they stretch a little…
