Very disappointed with the door handles

I already have a Nest lock and decided to buy it for the back door. I was excited when it arrived until I opened the box and found VERY used parts that were broken and worn. Installation was easy as I installed many smart locks. However, my lock did not work. Very disappointed as the quality seems very good.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons

Great lock/knob: Door handles

This is my first time trying one of the electronic door locks and I have to say I love it. It was pretty easy to install and great quality. It's definitely weatherproof and I doubt it'll rust or anything because it's good quality. The RFID aspect is also very good. This simplifies unlocking and provides quick access. Much better than the standard keyboard. It also has a nice touchscreen feature that comes in handy. All round great product and highly recommended.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Socket required

Bolt? Door handles are not good

I am very disappointed to write this negative review. I loved the look and even more the key fobs that the kids could toss in their book bags and forget about and if I'm busy and can't let them in after school they might climb in on their own but there are major downsides that will not make it work for 99% of households. During installation, as shown in the pictures, the bolt gets in the way. The only way to mount it would be upside down and then it wouldn't work properly. You can say remove…

Works great, feels well made and sturdy. Would buy more

First impressions were very reluctant to drill holes in the door but I only had to drill two. everything went fine, the programming was ok, but I don't like using 8 digits for the code. Adding more RFID tags is pretty easy. it looks great and feels good. a very good quality. I also didn't like that you can't leave it unlocked. There is no external switch or feature to prevent the door from locking. Once you close the door, you cannot re-enter without using one of four options: Key, RFID, Code…

Shit. Please do not buy.

The product's appearance is of high quality, but the inside is hard to find if you bought it on sale at a dollar store. The latch in this system is a junk-branded stamped piece. This system failed within a day of professional installation. The latch bends and you cannot open the door. Then you're out of $80 and have to pry open the door to open it again so you can rip out the system. I have installed countless systems that you can find on the shelf at your local store. , for $15 that have a…

Email me with any questions about these locks

I've read a lot of reviews. One problem was that they couldn't get into their garage and had to pick the lock. There are two types of these locks. One has a crankcase wrench that holds the locking bar on the handle. They have a tiny hole in the base where the rod enters the handle. The second uses a spring to keep the frame under tension so it stays in place. If you do not attach this bar to the handle or maintain tension, the bar will slip out of the locking handle and you will not be able to…

Installation instructions are not available. Vendor very responsive

The only instructions are related to programming. I mounted the lock to make sure it worked before drilling the holes. The instructions begin with "Press the initialization button". without specifying which key. All keys, 1-0 plus * a beep. # Button 3 beeps and hasn't been pressed for 3 seconds. A control tag (?) that differs from the other 4 tags appeared to be set when mousing over number 5. The tags seemed to be set when you moused over number 5. At least I got a beep, a solid white light…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Minor things

Wow, big disappointment

I really liked this lock at first. It's great to have 3 options (RFID, numbers and key). I had this on my front door so the number pad was outside but under the awning. After a few months the keyboard stopped working but the RFID tags worked. I turned to the company for advice and help as there is no documentation online or on their website. I felt like I was in a very bad vaudeville sketch. The responder completely misunderstood my message and thought I asked for programming instructions. So I
