The scooter is overall a great value compared to others in the market. I have owned a Segway and my son has had two other gotrax G2 units. This unit will do 20mph and consistently and I am at the very top of the weight range. As with most scooters it struggles in inclines. The cable lock is pretty short. I don’t love having to enter a code to unlock it all the time but this does prevent theft. The battery has about a 8-10 mile range for me as I refuse to run it all the way down. I have over 100

This review is made after 65miles. So the speed is just right to feel secure on big bumps and on the sidewalk but I know my area before I ride there fast anyway. The tires feel great with them being air filled. The breaks are iffy and if you pull them hard enough it stops the tire completely and scrapes em. I ordered my Gotrax G4 Oct. 22, 2022. Have a little over 100 miles on it. I ride on a combination of paved roads, unmaintained dirt road and a short distance on grass. A little variety of surfaces which makes it a little more interesting. It does go 20 miles an hour, which I don't do often, I am in no hurry when riding. But it is nice to have that option.

Fat tires and wide footbed are fantastic. The unit is heavy, as described. My only issues are 1. the handbrake seems to engage fully at the slightest squeeze--there is no easing into braking. This is dangerous; and 2. The accelerator ring/pad is tiring for my thumb--if there could be a way to use a different part of the hand, or even the whole hand, this would be better for my middle-aged, arthritis-containing thumb. Works amazing, really quick and goes decently far. If you want more range I recommend spending a little more, will be worth it if you need range. The big tires are nice and absorb some bumps although bigger bumps like damage in concrete sidewalk can be jolting. The "security” is a bit lackluster. Excellent sleek scooter, rides great. Battery life is only about 12 to 14 miles for 200lb man riding aggressively. Acceleration and power slows down noticeably once the battery has drained to 50%, especially on hills. They should either increase the battery size or advertise 25 max with XX expected in real world conditions. 25 maybe using a remote control on a flat test surface?
