Works in 2010 MacPro 5.1 at 5 Gb/s max bandwidth

Good price for a card that works in Mac OS. I bought it a few months ago and it works well with USB 3.0 in combination with the Jettison Sleep app. I just recently bought a 10Gb/s 1000MB/s device. It's NVMe at 1500MB/s in a case to convert to USB 3.2. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the full 10-1200 MB/s supported by the standard. This may be a limitation of the Realtek chipset in an external NVMe case, but this is the latest and supposedly the best chipset for the task. in my tests I got 730…

Cheap and fast!: Internal components

I installed this card in the second video slot (PCIe x8) because my system doesn't have PCIe x 4 slots Windows 10 Version 1709 Build 16299.192. Windows installed the UASP device and drivers automatically at boot. Using a StarTech 3.1 UASP compatible external drive enclosure I purchased from Revain and a SATA 6Gb/s SSD I already had on hand, I immediately noticed an impressive increase in speed compared to when the enclosure was attached to mine built-in UASP-compatible USB 3.0 port was…

USB 3.1 is fast. on USB port cards

Occupies a PCIe x4 slot or if you don't have one it will eat up your secondary x16 like on my system. One star less because it doesn't have an additional power input and there is no USB port on the front. Eventually I will replace my motherboard to get a front panel, but slot power is an issue as newer devices often draw power. So far my devices have been offline, but I'll run into something that probably won't come sooner rather than later. All in all it's still a good product and the…

Works great with Oculus Quest 2

Now I can get faster Oculus Link speeds on my old motherboard. Be sure to check the PCI spec or see the photos as they may vary and may not match other smaller PCI slots. Pros + Card delivers around 2Gbps over Oculus Link with Anker and Party Link cables. USB 3 on my old mobo - p67-gd55 - delivered around 1Gbps alone. I believe it can do more , if Quest or mobo allows it. I didn't check the Type-C connector, only the standard USB 3.1 connector on the chip. + The card is easy to install - just…

Maybe not 10GB, but .

Well, I'm not seeing 10Gbps, but I won't complain - it's pretty fast (SSD at 385MB/s, no issues with max transfer rates on WD Reds). Performance: I don't have the horsepower to drive other USB PCIe cards as many require so much power - so that was a big plus for me. The drives are powered externally and this little card does a great job of keeping the drives running. * NIX shows this as a 10 Gigabit interface. Basically it was "plug and play". I didn't have to do anything to make this work with
