A simple and convenient way to add DVD/CD capabilities to your PC

Really operational. I just plug it into a USB port on my PC and it's recognized and working. I can play DVD movies by inserting a DVD and opening the DVD movie software (not included). It can read both data CDs and DVDs without additional software. I can burn to blank DVDs or CDs with my burning software (not included). It works exactly as expected. I am very happy with this external DVD drive. I give 5 stars!

A good base for your kit

The cable fits perfectly under the DVD box for storage and travel. This is a solution to the DVD not playing issue on newer laptops. The USB cable has a Type-C or regular connector. So far so good with external components

The first time I tried it, it didn't work. The light just blinked rhythmically and the drive never showed up on my desktop screen. I don't know if it was just some kind of recalibration or something, but after those first two tries it's working fine now and has worked fine all day. I like that it has a built-in (but short) cable, including a USB-C adapter. I gave 5 stars for "light weight" but 5 stars really because it is NOT as light as some others. It's a little heavier than some of theโ€ฆ

Product with good performance, easy to install!

My new powerful computer does not have a DVD/CD player. I have hundreds of DVDs that I still love to watch to enjoy movies. I like this drive for its small size and portability. It's easy to throw in your computer bag and take with you. I have USB and USC-C ports on my computer. I also have a Thunderbolt 3 dock with plenty of ports to use with this drive when I'm at home. This drive allows the use of any type of input port. I liked that the drive doesn't require a power source and gets enoughโ€ฆ
