Works twice as long

Doubles the thickness = lasts twice as long and covers twice the area at a great price and very fast delivery. What's not to like?

great for polishing discs

I bought a stationary grinder for polishing in the harbor that was almost useless because the buffer disc was far out of balance and vibrated so much that you had to hold it, otherwise it wouldn't go away either. I can't do it either not screwing it to my bench. This pad fixed it.

Hole not 5/8 " but 1 " x 1/2 " + 1/2 " thick

I was angry when I opened the envelope because I could see that the axle hole wasn't 1/2. "but I needed it so I threaded it to 5/8" and when I ran out of threads I took a 7/8" deep head and finished it all the way. It's pretty smooth, but slices like a bat and it gets smoother. Also, he became 1 inch thick by combining two 1/2 inches. Generally not 1, but not 5 either.

Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Choose Another Brand

When I tried to install this wheel on my desktop motor with a 5/8" shaft, I had to work hard to install it and it didn't move all the way. nothing good. I couldn't force it just so you can guess the frustration. I sort of ordered 2 and the second one was just as bad. I tried widening the center with a 5/8" spade and that helped a bit. The wheel now appears to be off center. Guilty. Summarize my feelings from this steering wheel - ABSENT!

Cons
  • High Price

It must be good for something.

I bought this 8" denim 1" polishing pad out of curiosity, I was looking for a replacement for my worn out cotton polishing pad. It's solidly made and feels chunky, so I mounted it on the grinder and turned on the power switch. It picked up speed and surprisingly the vibration was less than I expected. I took a screwdriver and attached the shank to the buff and then jean threads started flying in all directions. I gave it 4 stars, I'm sure I can find a use for it, but I'll stick with cotton…

Cons
  • A few small things

It's hard and it works!

I purchased this heavy duty, heavy duty polishing pad to polish a matte shot peened stainless steel gun barrel. I said rigid because it's a very stiff and hard wheel. The denim material is highly compressed and the tight, tight seam maintains stiffness and integrity. I also wanted to be specific and sensitive where I was applying pressure to the track grooves so a large flexible buff would not be appropriate for the initial buffing phase. This balance bike is perfect for my needs. As you can…
