Fel Pro OS30622R Oil Pan Gasket Review

Fits my 2008 Wrangler Sahara Unlimited. Wrangler, be careful when installing this gasket: you must raise the transmission very slightly before tightening the connection between the transmission and the oil. pan, otherwise you could get a leak.

I always use Felpro gaskets for every job I do. I had a small leak of my native gasket for 160,000 km in our city and country. Seal of quality. But advice, 3.8 town and country has a two-piece oil pan, and there is no gasket for the bottom, you have to use silicone. I even asked the dealer and they said it was done.

Gasket fits perfectly. Plus two little bonuses: 1. Replacement ring for the oil pickup tube.2. These great plastic bolts are screwed into the engine block. So these studs support the entire oil pan and gasket so you don't need a second person to install it. I still used a jack to raise the oil pan, but the threaded bolts made the job easier. You can't go wrong with Felpro.

This seal is great especially for the DIY enthusiast. Comes with everything you need including silicone sealant, a gasket and those awesome clips that fit into the bolt holes and hold the gasket and oil pan in place while you screw in the other bolts. seal / pallet and one for screwing in)! Good product. I would buy again but hope I never have to! :D

Very pleased with this gasket. The guide pins were a nice touch, but I didn't use them. At first I was planning on using them but changed my mind. I applied black RTV sealant to four corners and torqued to spec. I think 105 inches. What converts: 105 inches / 12 pounds = 8.75 pounds. Don't over tighten or you could break one of those tiny screws in the block. Also included is a gasket for the oil pickup tube. Hope that helps.

Easy to change and solves quite a big problem. The oil that once leaked from the gap between the oil pan and the bottom of the block now stays in place. Make sure you have a small oil resistant hose, a secure oxygen sensor and silicone RTV to seal the gaps before and after the sump and you won't have a problem. Installed to replace the oil pan gasket on our 2007 Mexico Chrysler Town & Country engine. The gasket tabs on the front and rear covers were not cut at the factory, which eventually caused the original pan gasket to fail. When installing the tub seal, check the overhang of the seal! You may need to cut with a sharp chisel or blade.
