Description of 💦 Fibaro FGBHFS-101 Flood Sensor - Homekit Enabled Water Leakage Detector, White with Temperature Monitoring

The FIBARO Flood Sensor is Apple HomeKit enabled water leakage detector that protects your home against possible water damages. Get immediate notifications on your iPhone whenever water leakage incident happens in your home (Apple TV or HomePod required, if your iPhone is out of Bluetooth range). FIBARO Flood Sensor is also equipped with visual and sound alarm , so it works as stand alone device. FIBARO Flood Sensor can be set up to trigger your Home Kit enabled light bulb that will turn any pre-set color if water leakage is detected. Very simple installation - just put it under the sink or next to pipes, add it to Apple Home app and you’re good to go!.

works, easy setup, few warning options

quick and easy setup. Everything works as advertised. However, the HomeKit warnings are limited, but I'm not sure if this is a HomeKit or Fibaro limitation. Yes, you can turn on notifications, but all you can choose is a pop-up notification on your phone. What if you don't have your phone with you, but you have access to email on your computer (let's say you're at work), there's no way to get an email alert, only one Notification on your iOS or Apple device supports the app home. Yes, it will…

Connectivity issues but now better

Unreliable connection. I have two HomePods and an Apple TV in close proximity. I've read other reviews that pointed to connectivity issues as well. This is an expensive product. Disappointed, it doesn't work as advertised. Last update, connection problems seem to have subsided. Decided to leave it for a while to see if the connection issues get fixed. I uninstalled the app and now I only monitor through Homekit. Tested several times on the water, works perfectly. I wonder if the problem was…

HomeKit connection is not reliable

This is a great device that should be great but ends up being a waste of time. It's * cosmetically nice, * a bit stubborn to add (need to be on 2.4 WiFi and be patient. A few tries needed), * responsive support. BUT it keeps losing WiFi and HomeKit connection (*which it doesn't tell you, so you just have to be lucky and see it by accident). We planned it to be right outside the door to our garage (about 15 feet from the router) so we would know if heavy rains would bring water into the garage…

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Some flaws

HomeKit Permanently Disabled

It works unless you ever need to troubleshoot for some reason and decide to "temporarily" remove it from HomeKit. Unlike ALL OTHER HomeKit accessories I've ever had, the Fibaro Flood Sensor NEVER has the HomeKit ID number printed on it (only on the piece of paper that came with it). If you contact support you will be informed that it is the fault of consumers who have not saved a sheet of paper for this digital product and that there is nothing they can do to help would be someone who has…

I think it's better than D-Link DCH-S160

I have a Fibaro leak sensor and a D-Link DCH-S160 leak sensor. I will be replacing D-Link with another Fibaro sensor soon. I hired D-Link to monitor an attic HVAC swamp specifically for email alerts (via D-Link) and SMS/text alerts (via IFTTT). I also bought the D-Link for the reliability as it plugs straight into an outlet and I don't have to go to the attic often to check it or change batteries. D-Link doesn't meet that criteria for me now, having been informed that IFTTT integration will be…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubt

Good water leak detector

For reference I have used these two water leak detectors: Lyric Wi-Fi Water Leak & Freeze Detector and D-Link DCH-S160 mydlink Wi-Fi Water Sensor. I also got the chance to experiment with the upcoming Delta leak detector at CES. Fibaro Water Leak Detector is not as good as the three above, but it has some good qualities. Fibaro has 3 gold dots on the bottom of the detector. If these cables come into contact with water, the Fibaro leak detector sounds an alarm and you will receive a push…

  • Great for me
