Bought this for my last sailboat and I love it. Now I'm buying for my Catalina 30. Good price, bright light. Ease of installation. The backlight is small, but that's okay. If you really want to light up your patio, use diffusers. However, this is good for the San Francisco Bay and coastal areas.

Good light, easy to connect and modestly bright but glows in a different colour! One is pale yellow and the other is bright white. I'm not sure what is now. I think the one facing down is yellowish. But it's quite annoying that they aren't both brilliant white. For me the purpose is to be SEEN by other boats so I want it to be BRIGHT!

Buying from Stealth is risky and for the most part I've been able to match products bought here with less than 5 stars. This mast/deck light is not included. The light works and is bright. That's a positive. Bending the flaps to attach the lantern to the mast will not securely attach the deck cover. The lid also has gaps on the sides. 1 small screw holds the bottom of the cover. I don't understand how it will hold up in any wind. That doesn't happen on our boat.

A big plus for the LED lighting on the deck and the great price compared to Aqua Signal which is exactly the same like this for 2 or 3 times more money. Only 3 stars because (a) these things are so fragile and cheap and (b) they can't be made for smaller masts. On my 23 foot sailboat I had to put a layer of foam pipe insulation underneath to "thicken" the mast contour in order for this attachment to somehow fit. Good product. Best set up on a very hot day or with a heat gun as the wings will need to be bent to fit the mast. Unfortunately on smaller boats (mine is 22ft) the lightweight hull doesn't flex enough to really fit on the mast without flexing the hull and thereby exposing the internals at the extended joints. This was built no worse than my previous two Aquasignal lights which were junk. I used a heat gun to glue the flaps to my mast but it took 60 seconds per side and was very easy to do. The light is bright. It's only been a week, let's see how it holds up. The only downside I see is that the bottom screw that holds the light has a molded piece that it screws into, preventing it from sitting flush with the mast. This is pretty much a direct replacement for the Aqua Signal, minus the LED replacement. Consumes much less power and is very bright. The design is pretty bad, but the old one was the same. It has 2 stars because it works and the LEDs are bright. This is cheap junk. I replaced a weathered 20 year old forend with this one. That's why 3 stars are missing: 1. It rests on a curved mast.
