This is required when using glasses from.

Required if using cans from a car dealership or supermarket. Some gauge kits on Amazon come with a yellow hose with an automatic shut-off valve (not listed in the description) and this valve will prevent the system from loading properly.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Socket required

Works great as a set!

I bought an A/C PRO GBM-4 R-134a Air Conditioning Pro inflation hose and pressure gauge and a yellow FJC 6019 R134A and FJC 6527 hose connector. Yellow 72" R134A charge hose. These three items have allowed me to use a 30 lb can of R-134a to charge the air conditioning system in my car. Much more convenient than buying lots of small cans of R-134a.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Without machine

Another good product from FJC

I've had good luck with all the FJC products I've bought. They offer great value for money with high-quality tools. This hose is no exception. I was pleasantly surprised that this yellow hose is less stiff than the FJC 72" yellow hose that came with the manifold kit I bought a while back. they are the same as the knurled and upset ends. Apparently the hose material itself has been changed. It is possible that this material is now included in the FJC manifold kits. This is not critical, but this

Bought new from Belts, Hoses & Pulleys

92649 It also connected well and worked well when connected to my Harbor Freight/Pittsburg 2.5 CFM vacuum pump. For DIYers: Be sure to connect the "open end" of the hose to the gauge manifold and the "valve end" to the vacuum pump and/or freon dispenser. The valve allows you to evacuate and close the system when the hose is disconnected to connect the freon supply without losing the vacuum. It's a good idea to have a 134A can dispenser if you use small 12oz cans for refilling - preferably metal

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Questionable purchase by elderly

good for "little used " hose

bought this to replace my "black magic" charging hose which was leaking after about 20 years. Now I charge with a different setup so this hose is only used to evacuate the system which I only have to do every few years so seems ok for the price. It's 6ft long, my old one was 5ft so a little more range. It's larger in diameter, but at 600psi working pressure, 3000psi burst, it's less than my 750psi WP, 4000psi "black magic". BUT again, for the price this is normal for my needs. Oh, it has 1/2"…

Pros
  • great for small house
Cons
  • no instructions
