Sound Great for Mufflers

These mufflers sound fantastic. Loud aggressive noise when I step on the gas and not too loud when I'm on the freeway. Noticeable difference in performance.

Pros
  • Great Overall Performance
Cons
  • Almost OK

Great muffler: Muffler

Perfect fit. 2000 wrangler tj. Sounds better than stock with great sound. Not too loud. Just enough to make 4.0 sound meaner. I wouldn't want it any other way. Sounds wonderful

Flowmaster 942442 40 Delta Flow Muffler

Great sound for my Jeep Cherokee, the only problem is that after 4 years it has become rusty on the intake. If you look at the intake muffler you can see the shoulder where the weld is. here where it rusted, my mufflers have lasted me well over 4 years, my jeep cherokee has never been off-road, i don't know, I'm expecting too much from today's mufflers.

Pros
  • Easy Install
Cons
  • Has Defects

Almost no hum: Muffler

I didn't want the Flowmaster to sound awkward and personally I think these mufflers helped me with that. Despite the fact that I dropped them in front of the axle, I have a very small rumble, barely noticeable. Sound-wise, they're aggressive when you step on them, but quiet enough to have a conversation while cruising the freeway. For me this is exactly what I wanted, so I couldn't be happier. K5, 350 with manifolds, otherwise standard engine.

  • New

Bought for my 1998 Jeep Cherokee - sounds great

Bought for my 1998 Jeep Cherokee 4.0L I6. I originally had a stock cat that had performance code P0420-Kat fitted to a Pypes Violator muffler from a Mustang GT. I cut out all the old stuff and paired a Magnaflow Straight Fit Coil with this exhaust and it sounds great! Definitely recommend this product if you want a good muffler that isn't too loud. Definitely quieter than the Pypes muffler. I recommend using the factory exhaust and not blowing air in front of the axle as the cabin is much…

Now I can say that my jeep's engine really works!

Sure. I installed it in line with a Magnaflow 91005 (generic) catalytic converter to maintain exhaust back pressure for the 02 manifold sensor on my 89. Jeep Cherokee, but the difference in performance is mind-boggling! The exhaust noise is a bit louder, but not unpleasant. More like a whoosh in the exhaust pipe. I have used Flowmaster mufflers on several vehicles so I know what they can do for an engine. The biggest performance note was on the acceleration curve ('stepping on it') and I got a…
