🚗 Flowmaster 942447 Super 44 Muffler - Aggressive Sound, Black - 2.25 Center IN / 2.25 Offset OUT - Best Automotive Upgrade Review

I love this muffler. Sounds good and much deeper than the stock exhaust on my 1999 Jeep Wrangler. Not too quiet, not too loud. I will never change my muffler because I love this one too much!

Perfect fit for my 1997 Jeep Cherokee XJ, please note this part needs welding to fit. It has an aggressive sound but a reasonable volume, I actually wanted the sound to be more like a V8 sound and not like a racing sound, I feel something in between.

Sounds great in my 89 wrangler yj 2.5. I thought it sounded like rice, but it's not at all. It has a bit of a rumble, it can be uncomfortable for someone who is already alarmed. My cats were hollowed out so I'm pretty sure that increases the noise level. It's a lot smaller than my rusty muffler I had, so I had to add an extension to the line.

Externally almost the same sound and volume level as the original 40 series I replaced, but with a deeper tone and not too far removed from the original muffler on the inside; really quite nice. The windows are open and driving down the freeway I barely noticed the buzz. The best I can compare is the more assertive 40 Delta Flow series. Now I notice other wind noises, squeaks and rattles.

1993 Jeep Wrangler 4.0 with K&N Cold Air Intake. calms down around 2k, after 2k you only hear it when you accelerate. He gets a volume of about 3-3.5k again. That's as much as I take the AMC-242 4.0 motor, so that's all I know. I could not find any disturbing salon resonance. Keep in mind that this is about 2-3 inches shorter than the OEM muffler.

Does exactly what you need. Old rusty factory muffler replaced. This one is great because it doesn't seem to hang as low as the factory model and it sounds really good. Installed on a 1998 Jeep Cherokee. Gives a pleasant throat sound, but not uncomfortable and loud. Enough so you can hear and smile, not bother the neighbors, and not have to turn on the stereo to drown out the sound of the exhaust. Sounds perfect, just what I wanted.

Replaced original muffler on 96ft XJ. The float fits great and sounds great. I removed everything including the cat from the layout, disassembled it and replaced the parts back on the truck. Aligned cat, marker and exhaust pipe. attached everything with mig. Once I was sure everything was aligned and there was a gap, I removed everything and welded it tight. Just clamp from the pipe head to the cat. And it's just incase attached. Installation approx. 3 hours. The sound is excellent, not loud…
