Solid product huge value

Though I haven’t tried the "Bowflex” dumb bells, I can’t imagine them being any better then these "Flybirds”. The mechanism seems solid and operates with a positive click when you change the weights. Every now and the. It might pick up an extra weight but no big deal I just re-seat it and it’s good to go. For me these are sharp looking and don’t take up much space at all. My wife likes that she is able to use them at her pace too Combined with a "Flybird” adjustable bench I’m able to do many…

Good adjustable free weights, after 2-3 months of use plates began randomly falling out

Use with caution if you are going to purchase. I would rate these 5 stars for how easy they are to use and adjust, however after 2-3 months of use, the plates began randomly falling out. The plates become loose and will randomly fall out in the middle of sets and could result in serious injury. I tightened the screws on either end because they were loose but within 2 days the plates began falling out again. One of the plates fell on my foot, but fortunately did not result in any serious injury.

Easy to switch weight, but for 55lbs the 11lb increments are too much.

Be careful not to set them down too hard. They will chip if you clank them into each other too hard or drop them on a hard surface.It would be nice if they just used more plates that were of smaller weight each. That way each could be adjusted in increments of 5.5 (ideally 5.) pounds instead of 11.Also, increments of 11 doesn't make sense. Ideally it should be increments of 5 starting at 5, not increments of 11 starting at 11.

Adjustable, compact and quick weight adjustment makes a difference and does not stall my workout. I'm pleased with this purchase.

Adjustment mechanism solid and weights comfortable

I received these a few days ago and I really like them so far. First of all, the handles and the weights themselves are very comfortable. They fit my hands well and are easy to work with. I also like the weight-switching mechanism, it feels solid when it latches in, and it's easy to do with one hand.I have noticed that they feel slightly asymmetrical (along the rotational axis) when lifting them due to the shape of the weight plates, they have a very slight tendency to want to "roll" in your…

5 Stars if you use them correctly

These dumbbells are perfect for apartments and smaller workout areas! My only complaint is that when you go to pick them up lets say at 20-5 pounds, you have to pick them up perfectly straight or else an extra weight may cling to your dumbbell and fall to the ground or slide out of place. I was tempted to spray some WD-40 in between the weights however i didnt want to risk having ALL of my weights fall out from the mechanism (instead of just one that decided to cling to the dumbbell) I know…

Great Product, even better Customer Service

Bought two bells recently. Worked perfectly as advertised. I had one minor issue with them, reached out to customer service and they took care of the problem immediately. Often times a product can be great, but then cust. service falls short, not with this company. If you are considering adjustable bells, look no further. They are not big and bulky like the competitors either, just right. I haven't had any issues with weight distribution, once I got used to them.

You need to wear gloves in order to use this equipment

This equipment does exactly what it promises, easy to adjust the weight. However! The sides and the handles are made of plastic that is so rough on your skin, you can’t lift it, especially on the sides, without wearing gloves. Even the exercise gloves may not cover it all since they are open on the front.

Only had these a month and one of the weights will not click in

Update: customer service has been great. Walked me through trouble shooting and is sending me a new handle. Thank you!Only had these a month and one weight won't click in. Now I am past return window by 3 days, unacceptable! Save your self the trouble, disappointment and expense and go with a good name.

Space saving! - my new review

The weights are so compact and space saving I was able to create a corner in my office to get a daily workout in. They are easy to use, too. A simple turn of the handle adjusts the weight.
