Like many others, I found it impossible to set up. My solution was to unscrew the two parts after a tremendous effort. I filed away any burrs and sanded down the exposed metal sides, applied some lube and reassembled it. Now it works fine. It's a well designed product followed by poor manufacturing.

I wanted a smoother ride on my Diamondback Trace. This is a well-made, durable product that allows you to adjust the handlebars for different riding positions. Easy to install and no instructions required. Breathed new life into my hybrid commuter bike by relieving strain on my neck and shoulders while riding.

2 tried - on each of the side adjustment screws did not loosen. Believe me I tried! Update - after sending the second one back for a direct replacement, my new part didn't arrive until March (a month later and the first two I bought came a day later with Prime). So they either put me on hold or get the part working before they ship it again. I'll update when I find out.

Installing a new set of handlebars on a bike can raise many questions about where to make the adjustments. This stem makes it easy to try tiny micro-adjustments to find the perfect position; for any exertion or long-distance ride, the Paramount attitude! I was able to use an extension nut from an old stem to install this so the swap took only a few minutes. And now I drive and screw until I can set it up in the perfect spot. 😊

It was easy to install and did exactly what I needed. My handlebars are now higher and a bit wider and my lean angle is better. I would give it 5 stars except one of the socket head screws on the platter wouldn't loosen to change the angle on the stems. Luckily the corner was ok. I even tried a jackhammer and a small impact wrench. It will not weaken. It wasn't critical as the angle was close to what I was working with. It appears to be a quality assembly, nothing dangles or dangles.

I'm not a fan of bicycles. I recently purchased a REI Co-Op Hybrid for everyday commuting. After a month I couldn't stand the installation anymore. EDIT: The company/seller was very nice and offered a refund for my problems. While I'm not a fan of this product, the seller stands by their product and that's commendable. The screws and lack of clues make this a bad buy. Soft bolts break very easily, which is totally unacceptable when working with bikes. Installation is complex and confusing. Now I have to buy a stripped screw removal kit and pray it works or I have no idea how to get it off my bike. I don't feel that a product like this…
